I like these guest-creator style analyses, actually. I know you can't do them every time, but it's actually so cool to hear the input from the creator side of the music video. Tomi is awesome, too. SO creative and such a unique creative style.
This was SO good. The first time I played it when it was released, Elliott legit broke my headphones. 😂

Wow, you have Tomi with you!
I watched the premier and it took several re-runs before I could tear myself away and see if there were reactions coming out. And you got this lovely company!
Dobre TomiP and you too, Mortius🤗

This song made me so emotion bc the first time I heard this song was when gears of war 3 came and I saw the scene where dom sacrificed his life to save Marcus and the others and then his song made it so sad and to hear these people make it so beautiful, I actually cried for a hour straight, thank you so much for reacting to this

I actually talked to Tomi about this before the recording started, but my first experience of this song was the TRAILER for the FIRST Gears of War!!

Tomi P!!!! This is great already! Listening to his commentary increased my appreciation of this incredible piece. From Tomi’s solo work, I know he’s a fantastic arranger with an incredible voice. Thank you.

Yes, Tomi, you are amazing-I can always tell when you arrange a song because I have to reboot my brain after first hearing. The harmonies are so complex-so much use of dissonance and depth.
By the way, I think someone needs to start a rumor that you two (Mortius and Tomi) were separated at birth. LOL. Might just be the face shape and glasses but in this video you could be brothers.
And speaking of faces-I guess I probably haven’t seen a “current” video of Marwan since the last Bass Gang release, but back then he was a teenager, and dang, his face is a man’s face now, and also his voice has matured quite a bit.
I honestly have never liked this song, but I love this version! Brilliant job, Tomi, and Great reaction, Mortius!!

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed how much Marwan's voice has matured! It sounds wonderful and it's only going to get better.

Yes, I noticed the same changes in Marwan since the last Bass Gang vid! And I think "Tomi & Mortius, separated at birth" is a hoot! 🤓

@@catriverotter9527 I’m sure by now you’ve heard him in Centuries. WOW. You can still hear the teenager now and then but then there’s that gorgeous resonance. I can’t get over the fact that he’s just 18 and not just gifted but so incredibly skilled, both as a singer, and his arrangements, mixing and videos. I am super excited to see where his talent takes him.

This one of the most enjoyable guest/creator interview reactions I have watched, Mortius. You and Tomi are so much fun to listen to and see how much he was enjoying your reactions. Also, when Tomi said you have to know how, and when, to use silence, I literally felt the smile freeze on my face and my breath stopped for a heartbeat. That hit me so hard. So many impressions came all at once. You and he were speaking musically, theatrically. I understood that, but suddenly, I felt something else. I am a sometime writer, all the time word-picture painter. Lately I have been a "chatty Cathy" ( referencing a doll from the fifties/early sixties---yes, I know, it dates me) and just now I "saw" this is important to me....to MY word creativity. I had no idea....This was supposed to be my time getting my bassie boys fix for sleep....🤯💥mind blown!

So much fun to listen to you & Tomi bouncing off each other's analyses, & of course, hysterical to see Tomi reacting to your enthusiasm & "body English" as you listened! This made me grin sooo many times, but I also learned so much--thank you!! 🤓

  • @LadyFeline3

This was such an amazing reaction/analysis! You always point out things other reactors don't mention (usually about the arrangements), and I learn a lot from you. Also, it was so great seeing Tomi join you and getting to hear his thought process. You guys had me grinning throughout again! XD

I love that you talk about their "weakness" of not having a beatboxer, then immediatly the drum line starts (altough at this point Im not even sure it was done with voices)

Fabulous reaction to a perfect cover of this song. You’re such a joy to watch. I love Tomi’s arrangements. He really is a master at arranging, editing and mixing. Not to mention an amazing vocalist as well. It was great having him in the reaction to provide his insight. Waiting in excited anticipation for the next reaction to The Bass Gang.

One of my favorite reactions -- great command of the languge, Mortius (former English major here), and a fascinating glimpse into the technical aspects f the Bass Gang song that I would have missed listening on my own. Outstanding review on an incredible cover. I really enjoyed your enthusiasm and so did Tomi. Bravo!

I have one big "problem" with The Bass Gang. All throughout my 48 years long life I thought that bass-singers need cavity, so they are supposed to be stout with a broad chest. But here are at least two of these superb voices coming out of a skinny body 🙂How the hell does that work??? I love it. And I love Tomis accent. Forgive my grammar, I am from germany
