Finally, in Inbound to Downtown Houston has arrived, And Can you do the 30 Clinton/Ella route from Acres Homes Transit Center to Downtown Houston and do 44 Acres Homes from Downtown Houston to Acres Homes Transit Center
I use to ride the 102 ALOT. I miss the days when the used the MCI Motorcoach on the route, the NOVA artic is not suitable for this route. Multiple operators have complained of transmission issues and damages resulting from the bus going at freeway speeds. Lack of luggage space is also a issue since people begin putting their bags in the aisle.
I agree with you. I remember many years ago, METRO used to have an Airport Direct Service from Downtown to IAH. It was a MCI bus and there was room for luggage storage (and yes, I've seen route 102 on MCI buses). I wish METRO would resume MCI buses or direct route to IAH. Not starting from Downtown, but hopping from TMC, Uptown, Greenway, Downtown, and then IAH.
@@HOUExplorer Totally, or something like TMC TC - Downtown TC - N Shepard PR - Greenpoint TC - IAH. I heard that the 102 is surviving mainly on the express traffic between Downtown and Greenpoint, but all the stops the 102 makes around Imperial Valley Dr and the area around the SSN office add up time. But if they focus only on the transit centers it might allow more people to use the bus so that the airport route has some demand without relying solely on ppl going between Greenspoint and Downtown.
@@HOUExplorer Now that you've said it used to have more room for luggage I think I rode this from IAH to somewhere downtown many years ago and paid $15?

Yes, but service stops till midnight. Please check their bus schedules for departure times: www.ridemetro.org/Pages/BusSched.aspx
