- Riding Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) Train Gold Line from Airport Station in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport ATL to Peachtree Center Station in Downtown Atlanta.

In this train journey, I've retrieve my baggage at the ATL domestic carousel. Few walks away is the MARTA's Airport Station. Before boarding the train, I've purchased a MARTA Breeze Card on the ticket vending machine in the train station. After purchasing the fare card, I've walked over to the fare gate and tapped my fare card to enter the train platform. On the train platform, either rail lines (Gold or Red Line) travels to Downtown or Midtown Atlanta. For this journey, I've boarded the Gold Line to Downtown Atlanta. The ride between ATL Airport to Downtown Atlanta is around 20 minutes. Board either Gold or Red Line to Downtown or Midtown Atlanta.

Will there ever be rail service(commuter service) between Atlanta and Athens GA(University of Georgia)?
I doubt it, especially since the "M" in MARTA stands for Metropolitan, so i doubt it would branch out of Metro Atlanta
