    I just put mine in 2 years ago and they failed on trip home last month- rubber suspension part almost all the way out on one and nearly on the other-they both looked fine before leaving Florida for RI
    Thank god they did not collapse on the road.....

    Cool, I did the same thing with new springs also, I used the 3000 it did rise my trailer up almost 2 inches, I still need the cross bar, I have the spread axle travel trailer so turning can be hard on things, thank's for sharing, best detail video yet.

    Needle nose pliers work great for removing the plastic bolt liners.

    Thanks for the walk through. Would you do this kind of work with slides out? or would you bring all the slides in? I'm concerned about where my family is going to go while I'm working on the rv.

      I would recommend bringing them in.

      No one should be in the trailer while you are under it with the wheels off

    Good job I’m a welder my self and I’m doing the 3000 on my keystone passport 268 BH I like the your idea of backing up the spring mounts with a rear plate that will stiffen it up a bit I don’t have the side plates on my mounts
    But not a bad idea maybe a vertical gusset on the inside away from the tires all in all good job I’m going to weld in a 2x2 piece of tube across so I don’t have to buy one it will give the mounts a lot strength don’t you agree

      Absolutely adding that tubing will definitely help with the dreaded shackle breaking problem.

    A good practice with wet bolts is to shoot some grease into the bolt before installing to make sure the grease path is clear. I have seen cross holes miss the mark or foreign objects get in the holes and block the grease flow. At that point you have a dry bolt. Just a thought!

      And the wet bolts should be placed so the grease exit hole in the bolt is facing the 3 or 6 o'clock position. If you place the bolts with the hole at the 6 or 12 o'clock position, you may have a hard time getting grease into the bolt with the full weight of the RV pressing down on the bolts.

    Did I miss the part where the braces going to the hangers from the opposite side of the trailer were installed?

    My 2020 Outdoors RV 280RKS CANNOT mount the Morryde X-Factor Cross Frame due to blocking interference of the Propane Line running down the right side of the frame....The Front and Rear Hanger bolt holes will not align with the X-Factor mounting bracket bolt hole due to propane line interference. How did you get yours installed correctly?

    Okay, this is a pretty good install I have one question on my Jayco it come with the CRE3000 from the factory do they make a upgrade for that, I mean since my is a 5th wheel is there an upgrade, looking at the 4000 in look like those are a little bigger than the one I have on mines? I don't know if Jayco uses the plastic bushings, I have a 6000 plus miles cross country trip coming up in March I am getting my bearing repack so I should be good on that but do I need to or can I upgrade the bolts?

      amzn.to/3B0kNut this is the wet bolt kit and shackles they are a must upgrade if you don’t have them.

    I have the MoRRyde CRE3000, on my 21 303rls Reflection and adding the MoRryde x-factor crossmember. How important is “boxing in” the shackle hangers? And would you only be boxing in the front of the front shackle hanger and rear of rear hanger?
    That part of your video wasn’t clear. Thanks for the info!

    • @thompsonrvservice
      @thompsonrvservice  2 роки тому

      Yes the front and back get boxed. I consider it important for the fact that I’ve had to weld countless new hangers on for people that snapped off.

    • @timhuffman3208
      @timhuffman3208 2 роки тому

      Thanks, in your opinion can the hangers be boxed in with the shackle mounted or should the shackle and spring be dropped down (as seen in your video)?

    • @timhuffman3208
      @timhuffman3208 2 роки тому

      @@thompsonrvservice Also, forgot a second question...because of the location of my fresh water dump valve, I can’t put the x-factor crossmember on the rear shackle hangers, would it make sense stability wise to add a crossmember to the front shackle (in addition to just doing the middle )?

    • @thompsonrvservice
      @thompsonrvservice  2 роки тому +1

      @@timhuffman3208 If you box the hangers I would only use the crossmember for the center. Also the spring can be In place when the plates are welded. Just make sure to grease everything when done.

    Can you do a comparison between Morryde suspension kit and LCI kit?.........I have just purchase 2019 Coleman toy hauler and have the room for the higher lift, but do not want to because of the ramp angle. thank you for any help with this.

      @@thompsonrvservice The Road Armor

    • @thompsonrvservice
      @thompsonrvservice  2 роки тому

      Looking over the road armor system they are very comparable. The biggest difference is morryde has different size equalizers and the LCI you have to use different size shackles depending on the axle spacing. Regardless of the system you pick make sure to get the heavy duty shackle and wet bolt kit. Morryde also has the x-brace that ties the hangers together that adds a lot of strength to the system while turning.
