How I use the BOSS GT-1000 (Global EQ and Compressors)

- Hey this is Gary Simonelli from G-ROC Recording and in today's video I will be explaining the Boss GT-1000 and its global eq and inline compressors. I'll try to explain how I use each if I use any.

Very informative! Thanks for the insights! I love my GT1000 Core!. As I read the comments I saw you responded to a comment by mentioning the global eq can be asigned to individual patches....please share how to do this. It would be amazing to be able to have individual global eq settings for individual patches. Thank you!
Unfortunately, I don't have a GT-1000 since it was stolen at a gig. So I can't really confirm your question. The one thing I do remember is that it has, on the input page, a drop down list where you can save 10 different input settings(level). Not sure if it also saves the Global EQ. Maybe you can see for your self. Plus make sure your software is up to date as well. The core should have that feature if not update the firmware.

Can you do a video on how to use it with a tube amp and how you created that tone patch? Sounds great! Amazing tone and playing!

Good sound!!! The Boss GT1000 is great for FRFR but it doesnt sound in the return of a tube amp. All the output mode are bullshit! Did you find a good way to use it with an amp?
I haven't used it with an amp because I am trying to get away from dragging around one but check out this video ua-cam.com/video/tsXCI1Zfg98/v-deo.html he uses the 4 cable method with the GT1000.
Also, if you don't like that I can make video setting the whole thing up. There is a listing of amp configurations to do just what you're looking for. What amp are you using with it?
@@GROCMUSICCO It works great with the 4 câble because the effects are good. I use a carvin v3m head, a peavey 5150 combo and it's the same. I've tried all the output return modes.
Is there a way to turn the Master Global EQ off so that I can EQ my Patches separate?
You can create patches that use global settings and per patch settings. If you leave the global eq flat its not effecting your tone. There's a setting just for that as well.
