Jeez, to see all those amazing tuners at the end asking for the next iteration of the RX in 2011, it's a little heartbreaking that we still don't have it in 2019. Please Mazda, there's a place in your lineup! The passion is there, people will buy them if you take the chance!
Well, it's not just about "making an RX9".
Making a new car costs hundreds of millions of euros in designing and engineering. Even more for a rotary, as making a rotary engine able to pass emissions tests is really tough, and building it would be super costly as they can't re-use the same machines, platforms and plants as piston engines.
Would also mean needing to train and equip rotary specialist workers, as well as committing to produce spare parts and repairs for up to 15 years after discontinuing the model.
Very hard to make it worth it financially on a niche market.
As much as I'd love to see a new rotary Mazda, it seems impractical.

If you talking about the Revolution RX-8 (black) and the Pan Speed RX-8 (yellow), that's because they were using S tires, others use street tires.
It looked to me that they would exit corners much faster.
