Beverly Hills is a city in Los Angeles County, California. Located within 5.7 square miles and surrounded by the cities of Los Angeles and West Hollywood, it had a population of 34,109 at the 2010 census and an estimated population of 33,792 in 2019.
The city is home to many celebrities, luxury hotels, and the Rodeo Drive shopping district.
Originally a Spanish ranch where lima beans were grown, Beverly Hills was incorporated in 1914 by a group of investors who had failed to find oil, but found water instead and eventually decided to develop it into a town.
Rodeo Drive is a two-mile-long (3.2 km) street, primarily in Beverly Hills, California, with its southern segment in the City of Los Angeles. Its southern terminus is at Beverwil Drive, and its northern terminus is at its intersection with Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills. The name is most commonly used metonymically to refer to the three-block stretch of the street north of Wilshire Boulevard and south of Little Santa Monica Boulevard, which is known for its luxury goods stores.
The "Rodeo Collection," a 45 store, 70,000 square foot shopping mall opened in 1983 at 421 N. Rodeo Drive. The building is only four stories high with the first floor below street level in order to satisfy local building codes. The retail space initially leased for as much as $120 per square foot, which, according to an executive with commercial real estate firm Julien J. Studley, was "the highest price for any kind of space in the Los Angeles Area."
Two Rodeo Drive, another outdoor shopping center, was built in 1990. It initially housed, amongst other stores, Christian Dior and Valentino. The original developer, Douglas Stitzel, sold the property for about $200 million immediately after its completion. The shopping center was hard-hit by the early 1990s recession, with occupancy rates dropping to as low as 60%, and the buyers sold it at an almost $70 million loss in 2000. By 2007 the property was financially stable again and was sold to a group of Irish investors for $275 million. It resembles a “faux-European shopping alley” and features a cobblestone street. Some architects have claimed that Two Rodeo Drive is similar to a "theme park in the manner of Disneyland."
French fashion firm Lanvin opened a store on Rodeo in 2011. According to CEO Thierry Andretta local customers were expected to account for about 60% of the store's sales, with international tourists accounting for the balance, lending some credence to Rodeo Drive's reputation as an internationally renowned shopping area.

Absolutely LOVE Beverly Hills. Especially, Rodeo Drive. The best hotels, dining, shopping, and just walking and site seeing. People watching, is so much fun. You will see so many different folks, from ALL walks off life. And don't be surprised, if you run into a famous person. 😁 California is a beautiful state. I miss living in SoCal.

It's a gilded city. The homeless crisis out here is really getting out of hand, and there are stores that have moved off of Rodeo Drive and their stores boarded closed. It's changing. We may not be the place to be for much longer tbh.

I was there in may 2021! I couldn’t get enough of it, I’m planning to live there just because of how beautiful, fancy and clean this place is.

The more I travel to California the more I realize why its so expensive almost reaching a median home price of $1M for the entire country. It makes me an Emirati realize how lucky I am to live in Dubai with my parents for now until I can afford to buy a home in California. I stopped by Rodeo Drive in Southern California and was amazed to see another version called Santana Row in Northern California. I even went to visit my realtor friend out in Riverstone, California that borders Fresno, CA and Clovis, CAlifornia in Central California. He showed me the Van Ness Blvd in Fresno which was astonishing with people building their custom mansions in the area. The Central California part felt less expensive than say its northern or southern parts but still was very nice especially near the River Mall area.

Once years ago I had a dream
the Flourist Keven Lee desingned all the lights on Rodeo drive and all around Beverly Hills.
He said, Bling, Bling, Bling and there were star and flower lights all over and around all the shops of Beverly Hills.
Too bad it was just a dream.
Those generic 1970's looking street lights, (not the trafic lights) the ones that look like worn aluminum, for some odd reason those lights bothered me since age 3 and it never stopped.
Ever since, always been reimagining lights, especially those street lights, even in dreams.
Everytime I see something with Rodeo Drive, that dream with Flourist Kevin Lee pops back up.

Living in Beverly hills proper you need to be as near to the sign and rest area as possible and then it's just a short walk to rodeo drive. That said other areas of Beverly hills are equally as nice as is the city of Los Angeles. Rog. Pacific sunset. Stay safe out there.
