Damn. I can remember exactly how I felt when I reached this section of the game. It had one of the most scenic areas I have ever seen. The moon was looming above. The sight of both sky and steel coupled with this playing in the background totally blew me away.
you missed something, it was a really good game for back then, and even for now if you want my opinion, give us a remake and it's top tier... def recommend it if you have time to spare.. but no idea how it would impact you in 2022 :P
Major nostalgia for a demo disc that introduced this game to me, and this was the level it showed off, not too long, but it gave me a taste of the mechanics and atmosphere that just totally SOLD me on this game, and this theme just brings a sort of calmness vibe, while also having the undertone of something much more going on.
Imagine this as an 2024 anime and it show musashi running and slashing his way pass the robots, with this playing in the background. If the world ends with you got a anime I damn sure want this to happen or drakengard/nier
A lot of ps1 and ps2 rpgs, specifically jrpgs, need an anime adaptation or any form of film, and of course a GOOD one. Seriously old games' story are wonderful because back then the idea was still original and with the creators' passion back then just make those game...*chef kiss* I also really want this game to get an adaptation along with the ps1 game Brave Fencer Musashi!
i wish the composers of this track would be interviewed. Like what where they feeling and what were they thinking when they put this together? they nailed it perfectly. It would be cool to know their creative process.
I swear I first heard I got to the part where I wiped out the enemies, stood there as musashi put his sword in the sheath and just listen to this music. Sigh!
Soundtracks lost something when sound design began to overshadow pure, unaltered melodies. This piece shows how you can balance the two and convey different kinds of emotions each time you listen to it.
i used to wonder the same but now that i make music i found that game music borrows a lot from other genres but has no restrictions. so this is like melodic-breakbeat and atmospheric-electro. Certain parts of this song remind me of racing games which also use breakbeat style but since this is an rpg it had to mix it with ambient atmospheric sounds.
@@moisescorral8297 I know, but he created lightning theme and other songs using the songs he composed for this unknown game, see min 0:57. I love when composers do this The OST of Saga Frontier 2 is totally different than his work here and ffxiii for example.

Never played this game, but damn, is this soundtrack fire, so mid-2000s in the best way possible.

it was the combination of ROM:plers and Samplers that defined the 1990-2000 era of music. I have bought a few of them since I love the sounds.
This has to be one of the greatest soundtrack I've enjoyed during my childhood.
2 of the composers worked on Final Fantasy X,:D

I feel like the most accurate genre to describe it is VGM. Video Game Music, it itself is it's own genre wouldn't you agree?
indusctrial video game music obviously
@@Prodbyrichwood Absolutely agree with this

Same composer.

I hear the same instruments used in new bodhum from ff13.
Naht gud.
