This is so helpful I am considering retiring in Ghana. I am a Sign Language interpreter and I was astounded to see the Deaf Community in Ghana uses ASL (from North America) Not British Sign. I want to retire with a purpose in life and be in a warm and welcoming community, and it just may be that Ghana has All that I am seeking.
Lauren never stop learning. Though my husband is African we were both raised in America. We have made it our goal to move to Ghana once retired. Until then we will visit each year to learn all we can. We will be there in September thru October 2021. My husband connected with Ghana our 1st visit and cannot wait to be there again. He says he's never felt home until we came there. Your story is inspiring!
Hi Sharmane, thanks so much for this lovely note! How wonderful that your husband too felt so at home when he first came here :-) I'm so glad that you come to Ghana each year. Thanks for the message to 'never stop learning' I think you will have a very happy retirement in Ghana. All the very best!!!
From Ghana: How beautiful it is when children of the Creator live together in peace ; especially when we overcome prejudice and unfounded hatred implemented by some exploiters. Welcome home to the land of love & mutual respect Ghana.
@Adu poku For him having his own business,do you know who will be employ?? If he even employ one Ghanaian he has contributed to the nation and do you know there are a lots of pedestrians Hawking on the street! Easy to judge!!!
So wonderful to see your home and hear your voice. You’re the most beautiful person inside and out and your ability to see each day as a gift is so inspirational. Loved this vlog, thank you Anaieta.

Thanks Bismark, I am always learning and will use this name going forward. I have just read Petina Gappah's novel 'Our of darkness shining light' all about giving enslaved Africans VOICES in a history that has traditionally silenced them
Parts of history are so dreadful like how white people like South Africans treated black South Africans....we need to ensure these types of atrocities never happen again and are never repeated.

Correction , not slaves but enslaved African's . Please don't repeat this slip of tongue . My people have never been slaves .
Thanks Bismark, I am always learning and will use this name going forward. I have just read Petina Gappah's novel 'Our of darkness shining light' all about giving enslaved Africans VOICES in a history that has traditionally silenced them
Honestly I have a bias against white Africans according to history. Its fair to say im not happy with you but I'm learning to forgive.
