This is so helpful I am considering retiring in Ghana. I am a Sign Language interpreter and I was astounded to see the Deaf Community in Ghana uses ASL (from North America) Not British Sign. I want to retire with a purpose in life and be in a warm and welcoming community, and it just may be that Ghana has All that I am seeking.

Lauren never stop learning. Though my husband is African we were both raised in America. We have made it our goal to move to Ghana once retired. Until then we will visit each year to learn all we can. We will be there in September thru October 2021. My husband connected with Ghana our 1st visit and cannot wait to be there again. He says he's never felt home until we came there.
    Your story is inspiring!

Hi Sharmane, thanks so much for this lovely note! How wonderful that your husband too felt so at home when he first came here :-) I'm so glad that you come to Ghana each year. Thanks for the message to 'never stop learning' I think you will have a very happy retirement in Ghana. All the very best!!!
