Tens of millions of monarch butterflies fly to central Mexico’s mountain forests each winter from all over North America. It’s one of nature’s most incredible migrations. I was lucky enough to visit their winter home this year, and thanks to this VR180 experience, I get to share it with you. Listen closely, that sound you hear is millions of butterfly wings! #vr180 #monarchbutterfly #nature

Relax, sit back, put on a Cardboard or a headset (or just hold up your phone) and experience the zen of the butterfly forest. Make sure your sound is up! That's what a million butterfly wings sound like.

I wonder if any bred and raised in captivity then released would still find their way or if it is lost after so many generations.

The migration passed through my small hometown in western Kansas when I was in High School. Every tree was covered! It was like walking through clouds of orange every time you walked by a bush or under any tree! In short, it was incredible! :)

You are so lucky to have gotten to see one of the world's most interesting and mysterious insects upclose.
It looks like such a breath taking and all inconveniencing trip.
This video is a great complement to your previous one about decoding the monarch butterflies journey.
Thank you for taking the time to capture this in 180. Wish i had my cardboard still, but at least they give you the option of moving the view around on your phone too.

There is an app on the Oculus Quest called Alcove that is like this but they ruined it by adding music and narration, no to do it right, do it like this, only nature, the sounds of nature should be enough to keep their attention..
