That Miles' Quintet with George was one of the best groups in jazz ever.
And so was Eastern Rebellion Quartet with Cedar, Sam Jones and Higgins. Thanks, George!
Humility and Simplicity!" That's how that happened....". all that great music in '63, '64, and '65! George Coleman gave so many of us such inspired and beautiful music, and has done so before and since those halcyon days!
Miles in Antibes is one of my favorites, awesome G. Coleman
I love George Coleman. He 's simply an amazing player. If I hear one bar of his playing I know who he is.
Coule you explain please ?
Halcyon Days! Thanks for ALL your inspired nod beautiful music, George!

George is so amazing. He's a living breathing musical thesaurus.
George is the best.
apparently George Coleman completely erased from his memory all the unpleasantness with Tony Williams, who tried to get Coleman fired from the band.
in 1963 i saw Coleman with Miles as part of a sextet in NY with Jimmy Cobb on drums and Harold Mabern on piano and Ron Carter on bass. memory is a tricky
thing, as i am finding out every passing day. since it's his memory, i'm not about to say he was wrong. but that's my own memory.
So when George Coleman joined Miles in 1963 the rhythm section was Philly Joe Jones, Wynton Kelly, and paul Chambers? Definitely no Trane with Miles in 1963.
