Band Maid doesn't play a genre, Band Maid IS a genre. Pop, punk, thrash, prog, rock, metal. They wrap it all together in a perfect package. The best band on the planet.

This video is the 33rd song at the end of the 3.5 hour show. It's been 10 years since the group was formed. They are all wonderful artists who will never forget their gratitude to the fans who supported them.

Endless Story represents BAND-MAID’s commitment to evolving and reaching bigger stages. It’s a declaration of their musical journey and determination to keep moving forward.

Kanami Tono stated that she composed the song to be an "anthem" song for large arenas, where the audience could join in with their voices. She nailed it. Every great song makes an emotional connection between the musicians and the audience. This song does that. It's the last of 33 songs during a 3 1/2 hour high energy concert. Saiki's heartfelt voice and improvised words at the end of the song show how thankful they are to their audience and vice versa. These five young Japanaese women are the best!!!!!

Did you mean "Take me Higher" rather than "Take me Home" at least if we're talking about Band-Maid? ua-cam.com/video/UocYF6DbRls/v-deo.html

Band Maid is not the only band that appreciates their fans. But I don't know of another band that has a song just to say that to the fans. And Band Maid has done that more than once.

I remember watching the live stream that it was the song before this (Forward) where you could see them all starting to fight back tears. Three hour show, and it closed with Forward, a song that goes pretty much all the way back to their very beginning, and this song. Is it even possible to end a show more epically? What a @#$ band!

I feel Band-Maid's longevity and success will become Endless Stories in the annals of Rock ‘n Roll history! BTW -- I just watched the incredible "BAND-MAID 10TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR SPIN OFF" live-stream concert (on Zaiko). Listen fans and Maidiacs... seriously, if you've ever seen Band-Maid live, you know they play at an extremely high level of performance and execution. And there is no band that I'm aware of playing today, other than The Warning, that has a better, more extensive catalog of majorly awesome songs.
I would place this concert among the top of all Band-Maid concerts for insane playing, setlist, and audio quality, and is even better than Yokohama for an audio experience from video, imo.
To put it simply, this concert punches hard and totally worth the few bucks to experience it! When I was watching it, I was thinking about how The Warning, following Band-Maid (I believe) at their June 12, 2-man concert, is going to feel about it! I know I wouldn't want to follow the Maids! However, The Warning has all the earned confidence in the world! 🎀🤘😜🤘🎀 The concert is available to view on archive until 2024/05/28 (bandmaid.tokyo/contents/742715) Thx, Lee Jay & Stan!

The last song of the last performance of their last tour. What a way to end the concert. The last verse was specifically written for this show to thank all the fans.

One unique thing about this performance is that the last stanza is completely new and was just performed at this show (the 10th Anniversary Show at Yokohama). This song, which is generally a love song, was being performed as a love song to their fans in appreciation for their support and sticking with the band. The new last stanza is fantastic:
    "For making today possible,
For letting our voices join together,
    Thank you! From now, always
We’ll never forget this view shared with you."
As others mentioned, this is the last song in a three hour concert that is amazing. I highly recommend picking up the Blu-Ray/DVD of the show.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う。I was there in Yokohama Arena with tears of joy and sadness as well to say good-bye to the ladies at last. The moving finale of the 3-hour-40-minute long show. (33 songs)
A little off topic. I went to see Band-Maid's ACOUSTIC concert held in Shibuya on March 20. All of 14 songs performed there were amazing. The finale of the show "Daydreaming" was especially breathtaking for me. In addition to the beautiful song in itself, kudos to FIVE instrumental players ! (Saiki on piano) They always compel or lead me to bring tears.

You're right, so many bands I see even big name bands, just get on the stage. barely interact with the crowd, just go through the motions and get the songs out and call it a night. Band-Maid puts on a show, they get the crowd involved and have intermissions where they interact with the crowd. I saw them in 2022 on their US tour, it hands down has to be my most memorable concert I been to and I've seen hundreds of bands live.
Yeah the crowd mix was low, likely a choice by the production team.

This song closed every set on their last 2 US tours. Certainly the show I attended anyway… and it is just so special every time. What put this performance over the top was that this was their 10 year anniversary show at probably the biggest arena they’ve ever played. Saiki’s words to the crowd was, therefore, referencing 10 years of support from fans all over the world (the show was live-streamed too). As someone else mentioned, the verse at the end that reiterates the band/audience connection is not part of the original song and was added for this performance. There’s just one word for this: Magical.

I find this weird in some other videos I actually can hear the audience. Anyway, this song, every damn time brings sweat into my eyes.

You want the kicker? The Maids wrote that ending verse just for that performance. It had never been heard before.
This is what I call their “cinematic rock,” which seems to be a fairly decent description.
They have others, notably the progressive, jazz influenced cinematic “Wonderland.”
But if you really want some “awww!” “About Us,” the song they wrote and recorded during the lockdowns and canceled world tour. They released that special love song dedicated solely to their fans. The Maids wanted them to stay hopeful and they would eventually see them again.
Hands down my favorite cinematic “slow jam” by the most creative rock band since TOOL, imho ❤

They are in Japan, mate. People will shout on occasion when prompted, but for the most part, they will respect themselves, the band and the people next to them for a better listening experience, suitable for an indoor hall. They are not in a club, or a stadium , or a festival. Different setup, different behavior.

I would have liked if the footage from this show had more crowd noise mixed in. Those who were there insist the crowd was plenty loud. But as some have pointed out, room mics would have picked up all the reverb and such too, and it's an arena so you'd expect the crowd sound to be slushy, not crisp and clear - it's not as simple as "just dial up the crowd noise".

the reqester may have meant Take me higher.. which is an effing banger

  • @zer0tzer0
    @zer0tzer0 Місяць тому

It maybe that Japanese audiences are quite reserved, but for Line Cube Shibuya they did have a lot of room mics for the audience but it made the mix very unfocused. But this was so emotional because it was the last song of the 10th Anniversary Tour.

They're well known to play a variety of genre's and they smash em all.
You've heard some of the hard rock they play and now had a taste of their "lighter" side ... It might be time to checkout "Daydreaming" - one of the best rock ballads (in my opinion) you'll hear. If you do, watch the MV from their UA-cam channel ... it will blow you away with a guitar solo that comes outta nowhere and near leaves you in tears.
    This band is amazing.

Great review guys, this ending song made a lot of fans cry as well as all the members, it's not shown in this video, but in the live stream it was very apparent. "Take Me Hone" is a song by John Denver,l lyrics are in English - here's the song in case you're interested - ua-cam.com/video/c0dvabcWVo0/v-deo.html
