The Andrea Motis Quintet, one of the best European Jazz groups of the 21st century. For 14 years, no less, these five jazz geniuses have been "taking the world by storm" on the stages of the five continents. And they have already reached an absolutely glorious level of excellence, maturity and integration. And about Andrea in particular, what can I say that hasn't already been said millions of times. It doesn't matter if it's playing the trumpet or the sax, singing in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan or French, in Swing, Bossa Nova, Soul, Blues... even doing the choirs, second voices, accompanying the rhythm, dancing ... Whatever, she doesn't care as long as she's enjoying on stage.
Wonderful to see this group performing again together in 2022. I wish they would make it the touring permanent group, but Andrea seems to be heading in another direction. As always, Andrea is superb and even surprising.
