There goes the "you gotta have that 37 inch scale for F#" down the toilet. Both your playing and tone are impeccable!
HAHA Well said! Thank you man 😉
Very nice… I’m a Spector player but these Warwicks you’re tracking with sound great.
Some of the basses appear active and some passive, but your tone in these different vids is very consistent.
What are you using as a signal chain?
In fact... for F# to have it to compete with other string tensions, you should be aiming for something like 40"-42".That 37" scale lenght is designed for perfect B string. There will be hopefully first Warwick Thumb 37" in November 2024 so lets see how it improves then! :)
@@Schtorm_BLITZ_UNION no-one using a 40-42 inch scale bass. you would simply increase the string gauge or use software.
@@mitchellp6289 Actually I have 42"-39" bass for studio purposes (no.5, more basses like that are going to be produced) and it sounds so much better than what I can do with 34". Even difference is felt between 37" and 42". String gauge is not that big issue, you order customs from NewTone strings, they are ready for those scales.
You can always use software, but that is just artificial. I like it when it sounds natural. You can use samplers like Eurobass, no problem to produce F#. But it is heard it is artificial, they didn't record the samples properly.... they detuned 34" bass with software.
That slow wobble of 5th string when played open!
Very cool effect haha
fun fact: that happens when the shutter of the camera and the frequency of the string get close together!
I already loved Josh as a bassist, and i really love your bass tone and playing...
✨Awesome lows on F#!
Best bass tone I've ever heard
Wow thank you 🙏
Having owned a Dingwall, I have to say that I love seeing videos like this even more. The whole 37" scale thing is not the night and day difference that people make it out to be, and quite often I think Dingwalls can be a bit obnoxious in the mix. This is a phenomenally well played and mixed bass track, no fancy multiscale neck required.
It really is a big difference. Especially during live situations.
@@Schtorm_BLITZ_UNION Well, this isn't live, so I really don't care. It sounds fine. You're basically just exemplifying my point.
@@Jackal_Blitz Still, F# is far from perfect on 37", can't get any better on 34". I think scale matters a lot, people just got tired of that "Dingwall" thing... :) Which I did aswell. I don't own Dingwall at the moment, but I was thinking to make some comparison video how F# performs on 34", 37" and 42" scales.
What's another problem with 34", you lose thar bit of clarity you have with fresh string so fast and then the articulation isn't good much.

Fingerstyle!!! I love this way more than any Dingwall i've ever heard. I also own a 1992 Pro Line; this reaffirms my belief that it's the perfect bass for me. Incredible playing!
I've been obsessed with this song for a couple of days now. Awesome cover and bass tone!
Thank you so much dude!
somehow sounds better than many dingwalls i've heard in such low tunings, incredible! what string gauges are you using?
The tone and accents! It's so good 🤌🏾
I just heard this on Spotify! Blows my mind that you already covered it lol.
I couldn't contain myself haha
@@thepiratebass_ how do I adjust the sound so that my Corvette sounds the same?
Again, I’ve watched probably 100 times. Phenomenal.
This is the best bass tone I've ever heard! With my band we play in drop F and I've stayed away from Warwick mainly due to the 34" scale lenght. Ended with a Dingwall "obviously", even my Sandberg 5 string 35" have trouble to keep up. As some people asked already, also very curious of your setup to keep a crisp tone like this with such low tuning?
Wow thank you man! There really is no secret... it's a matter of playing it as cleanly as possible brother 😅
Trust me, Warwick holds it own for sure. Dingwall is absolutely amazing, and I will own an NG3 one day, but I've run my Warwick to Drop G no problem with standard 45-130 gauge strings. Just gotta keep it tight and setup is crucial.
That bass tone sheeshhhhhhhh 🔥
Omg the tone!!!!
Man thats a tasty fuckin bass tone. Awesome cover!
this sound is killer!
wow dude! it just release. you're a beast! and this song is such a beauty! Spiritbox ftw!
Thank you so much!!
Clean as always.
Thanks bro!
Fiiiiiiiiiiire 🔥
This bass sounds awesome!!!! Great cover ,👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much Lucas!
Wow!!! Any chance you’d be willing to show us how you record and eq? That’s amazing metal tone!
Just came across your channel after seeing your KoRn cover. I've got some catching up to do. Very good stuff man. 🤘🏻
Thanks brother, I hope you enjoy it!
Very cool👍
Thank you!
So goddamn fast cover .best sound . thanks
Thank you dude 😊
Great 👍
Thanks!
What a cool bass I never heard of that brand before
Omg could you please tell me your signal chain or settings?? And string gauge.
I’ve been trying to get a good tone out of my 5 string Warwick for months and can’t mail anything like this!!
german technology at its finest, superb playing as always 👌🏻
Thank you so much!😊
your tone is unbelievable drop the signal chain lol
❤️🔥
😊🙏
What gauge strings do you used? Thank you! your Rock!
do you ever have problems with the electronics in Warwicks of that age? my '97 Streamer needs the jack resoldering every so often and I cant figure out why.
Please teach us how do you get that bass tone!!
Play the best you can!!
Great cover! What Gauge of string are you using because they sound very tight for being in drop F#.
very curious as well 🙌 cause I have drop A# tuning with .130, and not happy with the tone at all...
Don't complicate your life... I used a normal set (45-130) 🤣The key is to play it as clean as possible, although I do recommend using a higher caliber than 130. I hope I have helped you 😊
What gauge is that low string?
whats gauge string?
lord.......................basist...
Katxorro! zer warwick modelo da?
1994ko Corvette Proline... ni baino zaharragoa jaja baina kalitate paregabea 👌👌

So this is bassicaly an octave lower F# that the lowest on standard tuning? Dude, you can literally see the wave on the string when he plays the lowest note.
Come on, now!
You know he used a pick.
Amazing cover. Did you use a amp sim?
