You are absolutely right. I had two of those batteries and they both died after charging and using them about three times! I just bought a new one last week. Would it be wise to swap out the BMS while the battery is still kind of new? What BMS would you recommend? Or would you simply check if both the charging and discharging ports are connected and if they are not both connected just add a bridge between them? I would imagine you could best use a diode for a bridge, right? You have probably built your own City Coco battery, what BMS did you use for it?
@@Beeeeeeeeeee No, this one actually still works. I opened up all three of my batteries and found the new one I bought was from a different manufacturer than the other two that had died (and that came with my City Coco). The cells and BMS are different too. Unfortunately I didn't take any pics.

Similar to my experience with bike batteries, the same case or container can hold many different qualities of manufacturing, depending on (probably) the lowest bidder at the time. You just have to be lucky. Even with Bosch i've now seen no-brand cells (with their original spotwelding intact)

We bought a City Coco Scooter tricycle in August 2019 in Greece and the battery is doing a great job. It is still as good as new, taking me and my husband uphills and downhills in Corfu all around our mountain village. Of course it was always looked after well.

And they are Citycoco scooters and batteries , can you recommend anothet that would fit it is the one that sits in the bottom of empty motor compartment 60v 2000w 20ah. Thanks

Buy from Feddie.nl. I also live in the Netherlands and I bought it from them, it’s a startup that import parts from China but assemble everything in NL, they give 2 years full warranty!
Please Help, I just got the Citycoco chopper with the 2500w motor with the 67v 20ah 16S8P battery pack that only uses 2 wires out of the battery pack, it says it is made by JUBANG and is in a metal box with screws on the side with a tilt chrome handle, before i tear apart a new pack and see if it has a common C- and P- or they connected them both to the C- like this video, Do you know about this pack or if not should i tear it apart and add the extra wire if I can before the batteries get damaged/destroyed? I am eagerly waiting for your reply.

Okay I've looked it over on other boards, i think I can fix that myself. Just gotta find a fitting plug and socket for the charger wire. Or build an adapter
@@MaffiLu JUST USE THE B+ AS COMMON THEN JUST MOVE THE C- TO THE GROUND CONNECTOR FOR CHARGING. ****SO BMS B- TO THE BATTERY, WHERE THE BMS C- HAS THE WIRE TO THE CONTROLLER MOVE IT TO P- ON BMS FROM THE C-, THEN ADD A WIRE FROM C- TO THE THIRD CONNECTOR "GROUND" PRONG ON THE CHARGING CONNECTOR AND SET THE CHARGING PLUG WIRE THE SAME.

Then again...I could just add the third wire if it's missing and rewire the charger to use the third pin.

After 2 years the cells are almost dead and will go to sleep when you accelerate. It time to repair your battery.

Same too, I used my batery citycoco more than 2 years 20ah, never have with it any problem. And it still work as well even now. Idk

@@MaffiLu I AM CLOSE TO TEARING THE WRAPPING OF THE PACK APART TO FIX IT MYSELF. BECAUSE A CHEAP REPLACEMENT BATTERY PACK IS OVER $600.00
