The rain came down so hard that Simonds Stadium temporarily became a lake, and the Bulldogs rooms were flooded. They were lucky it was subtropical Brisbane.I once played a Grand final (aged 9)in that torrential weather on a flooded suburban ground without facilities (Edithvale Beach Oval wetlands) and add a howling southerly off Bass Straight .In bed for a week.
