For the angle, It depends on the bridge you are using, for a standard tune o matic around 2° Is enough, for other bridges likes bigsby you Need more, up to 4 or 5 degrees. In any case you have to check It many times before gluing, to make sure you'll have enough action regolation. I don't angle the pocket, I angle the neck heel, i think this Is simpler.
