    As a blue collar man, I can definitely relate to a guy running over his boss with a tank. I always imagined using a steam roller, but a tank is good, too. 😎

    That Russian soldier had few choices:
    1: Be sent out onto the battlefield knowing that he'll be slaughtered.
    2: Refuse the order and be executed as a deserter.
    3: Resist and fight his own, only to be executed as a traitor.
    He chose the 3rd option. In a way the best outcome. He'd be dead no matter what he chose.
    That is just so incredibly sad.

    • @MrAndrius12
      @MrAndrius12 2 роки тому +3

      And even sadder is seeing people blaming ALL Russian soldiers for everything, even though there are literally cases of Russian soldiers doing heroic deeds AGAINST orders - and things like this. People assume "not coming to Ukraine" is just as easy as snapping your fingers - but if they were put into the exact same situation some of them would do more than just loot shops and drive tanks into cities.
      Very well put.

      It is about morality, we have evolved so much that we all know it's bad to invade someone, it's bad to kill people, and it's really bad when you're being forced to do these things against your will,
      You're essentially being stripped of your morality, so you would tend to think if I kill this person who commands me to kill, then I'm set free from the curse of constant killing,
      I think it's a rational thought, especially when you add in the fact that the soldier has seen all his friends die without any regard for them, wouldn't you think a long the lines of I'm going to be next? And who will care? Who even knows were here, ?
      Mutiny is common among communists, it's kind of how they solve their problems,

      I don't have much hope either but there are good people in Russia and in the Russian army. Good people are forced into bad situations and to do bad things a lot unfortunately. A lot of these people are barely even college students and being in the military is traumatic anywhere. Especially a country where they are sending 5 year olds to prison, poisoning dissenters who have escaped to other countries, and people just "disappear". They have a lot to be afraid of but some are still fighting this and protesting and unfortunately paying for it. At least in the US military you're trained to fight, from what I've been told by someone who has served in the Russian military (you can find the comment thread under this video, sorry I don't know how to link it) these people are thrown into the battle with little to no training and they are all required to serve at least one year in the military typically after their (I'm assuming, I don't know the Russian education system's structure) high school education ends unless they are pursuing further education. I know it seems hopeless and in some ways it is but there are still good people.

    Some details are very telling about the state of the Russian forces here. A Colonel, an officer just one step away from General, is transported in the backseat of a truck, not by medivac helicopter. He is carried by troops on a wood and canvas stretcher, covered by non-reg blankets with no oxygen, IV or other obvious medical assistance into a make-shift surgery room with only a few dedicated medical staff and 0 PPE beyond latex gloves; and dies. This would be expected of most small nations but not from one of the worlds greatest military super powers. Things are going very badly for the Russians.

      @@Anno_Nymouse Yeah. They are perhaps paying for their own words. They make war, but prepare for and do it as a big "special military operation"... And so, they arent prepared for real war nor war conditions. Russians have always been renown for their war surgeons. A doctor I know had told me this. Why? They send their surgeons and doctors to all wars around. It was called for helping third world countries in their freedom wars (compare a little with Doctors without boundaries), but they did it to give sharp training to their field surgeons in case of war... So war surgery, trauma surgery, accident surgery, they were usually good at it. At least, during the Sovjet era. But here - all this falls apart. The help this colonel got, would be good in a poor third world country... But not here, where russians are supposed to have all the resources; and air superiority, and thus, can send in med helicopters.... But as observed; they arent having nothing of this... Very telling...

      Yes, imagine how the Ukrainian citizens feel... Before you all get angry with me, please know that I have a lot of family in Ukraine and some of them are now behind enemy lines. One of them is a 95-year-old lady who had been exiled to a gulag in Siberia after WWII and just wanted to live the rest of her life in peace. Please save your empathy for the Ukrainian people who have lost so much at the hands of these very soldiers.

This is common in America. You often can't tell a person's ancestry by their name, especially married women.
