Hey Matt, with the 85mm upper pulley and port injection plates. Did you have to change belt size than what came with the magnuson 2650 and 90mm pulley? If you did, which belt was the new one. Im in the process of doing the same thing and needing input on belt size
Awesome! Hey Matt, I have a stock c7 z with Maggie 2650 90mm making about 650whp on stock fueling. This care spends most of its time on the racetrack where I beat the crap out of it. I really love the 2650 and I am thinking about doing port injection from HPSI and I am still debating if I should do CAM to let it breathe. For race track I don't see benefit going over 700-750whp. I got a feeling with CAM I might easily exceed that. What are your thoughts?
A cam with better valvetrain components can work really well for road racing. Even with a 2650. We use a 110mm upper pulley with a 8.25" lower to get around 7psi. With an aux low side pump and stock lt4 injectors we see low 700's rwhp on e70 fuel. This is also paired with a 5" cold air and 103mm throttle body. The low boost and large intercooling on the 2650 keeps the Iat's low. Coolant and oil temps still run near our comfortable limit. 280 oil and 230 coolant. You should consider cooling system upgrades also.
How would Port Injection do on a car without doing heads/cam? With the release of the toohighpsi setup I was thinking of just throwing it on a ported lt4 blower and running full e85. Curious to hear your thoughts. Keep up the great content!
We'll take them to 7-7.2k with good upgraded valvetrain components. The stock oil pumps start to cavitate a little at those rpms. Since we're pushing the reliable limits of the stock bottom end, I don't spin them any higher on these setups.
Stefano Bimbi, One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet,
Looks so good with the ZLE wheels.
Beautiful work
That thing is a beast! Thanks for sharing
Thanks, great work ....congrats!!
Very nice! I might have to do this.. would you get similar results if i left the engine stock and did the boltons ??
Thanks. Great info
Any good results with a 2.9 whipple?

You will need a shorter belt. Between .25"-.5" shorter. If you get the number off of your current belt you can look up the overall length.

It works excellent. I know of a couple people that have done that exact thing and had really good results. Into the 9's with a blower and headers.
@@ApeMotorsports Great to hear. I look forward to new videos you post utilizing port injection!
so you can spin to 7k with the stage 2, power bands so pretty, max power at max RPM

@@ApeMotorsports where are you guys located? I like your attention to detail. The stage 1 looks like what I’d want. Stock fuel and cam on pump
The shop is in Loves Park Illinois.
I wanna add port injection and get rid of the meth
Doing my toohighpsi PI very soon recieved it today. I'm excited to see my numbers since my build is very similar
Nice matt, now let's bump up my truck 🚚 🛻 see ya soon!
