There's 2 good days of owning a boat. The day you buy it and the day you sell it. Talking from experience

I would recommend renting at least a couple of times , before you take the plunge and buy a boat. Gives you the enjoyment, plus the experience you’ll need.

Get your dad or one of your sisters to get the boat. When you go on holiday, you can take the boat and your trailer. That way you can have fun on the water and have somewhere to stay. You can borrow their boat and they can borrow your trailer and everybody can have wonderful vacations.

    Ol' Blue is looking good.
Nothing worse than detours in a semi in the dark. Went thru Houston one early morning and missed a turn and ended up downtown Houston. Not a fun time.

When I was like 18ish old I and some friends had a 13 foot dingie with a 20hp honda. It wasnt much but good enough for going fishing or swiming or just sail around and enjoing the scenery. It was reliable and cheap. Then we sold it and my friends bought a bigger boat and we almost never used it because something was always broken and it costed an arm and a leg in fuel. So yeah, you might actually get away with a cheaper boat and still have a good time with the family. At least its a way to try it out.

Like I said in watching your last couple blogs, not ever not every memory for me and my dad were was truck related and there was lots of hockey games watch the trips, back-and-forth to hockey trips on the motorcycles, so you got to be able to make memories outside of the truckyou know with your son and I’m sure they’ll be plenty of memories in the truck for your son

Occasionally, you point your finger downwards referring to more information on your page. For those of us who view your channel on tablets, like I do it on an iPad Pro, the information "below" is not there. I'm sure there are quite a few viewers who watch your program on these devices. There are a few things we can do but not many.

Josh... Totally not my business, lol! But this boat buying talk makes no sense. I'm an accountant, like your Mom, and if you do a cost analysis and look at the numbers objectively, like you always do your fuel economy, you'll see. Trading cost for memories? Theo won't know or care if you own the boat or rent it. Are your memories from the other day with your friends somehow tainted bc you didn't OWN the boat?
If you were my client, I'd say that if you want to buy a boat for ego or status, go for it. That's totally different. But from a financial perspective, OR for creating family traditions and memories, not a good choice for so many reasons.
You're a good businessman. Putting that money to work for you is the smart move. Enjoy all the boating you desire with a cost effective rental instead. Now I'll get my nose right back outta your affairs! I always pray for the best for you and your family. So don't be mad at me... lol 😊
