- Since we lost our office our presence on UA-cam hasn't been up to standard and even before to some degree. The larger projects we always wanted to make went on the back burner to keep up with day to day content or because we lacked the proper places to film. And the truth is we've been letting our UA-cam audience down - now things are going to be a bit different.

I really enjoy how you have branched out - the Project MMO experience has really improved your content and how you discuss games, and I think this kind of wider look is super important when discussing even just a single game. Because now, you have context of other games, a better look at what developers are trying to do and how they go about delivering to their players, how it works or doesn't, how audience expectations can often run contrary to what is actually good for the games... on and on, there are so many topics to discuss. And because you've gone and broadened your horizons, I feel like you bring a breath of fresh air to the otherwise single-game discourses. You've always had an eye for breaking down mechanics, and that really helps you with the general gaming content - so I'm eager to see what you're working on next!
Contractors saying 6 weeks? Assume it will he closer to 4 months. My office was screwed by water damage across 2 floors and it took 8 freaking months when they said it would be 3 tops. Freaking annoying. Thanks for the update Mike! Can't wait to see what the future brings!
Depends on if they "got a good deal" on the contractors. Unless you're good buddies/family, actually good and punctual contractors are expensive. 99% of the time otherwise, the ones you "get a good deal on" drag out work and don't produce the best quality.
@@SawGudmanas the guy on the cellphone, and in over my head, I really wish I could be the one lifting the 2x4, just the bosses above me expect all ‘paperwork’ and communications done before 3. Doesn’t sound like a lot, but it can be overwhelming.
to be fair, i speak from experience in construction. in my anecdotal experience 90% of big delays are interruptions in supply. doesn't help anything at all, but it can be nearly as frustrating as a contractor having a project held up forever waiting on like some specific seismic brace that is on backorder.
Man, I understand this so well. I am having a complete electricity installation at home, it should have be 2 months. It's past 5 months now and they are just finishing today. Has been a hell.
I think partly why that is, is because they wanna milk the insurance company.
I was under the impression that the original office had become completely uninhabitable due to the prefilation of mold everywhere. As in the whole building needed to be condemned it was that bad.
It was, but they are still claiming to have 'made it safe'.
I would not dare to go back into that office, especially considering how the owner has handled the entire case. That place was a literal health hazard for MONTHS, even after they have teared down a lot of stuff and re-painted, I refuse to believe that the inside of the structure has not been compromised by mold.
It was. It was gutted, cleaned, and is being rebuilt.
@@jaymzOG No such thing a rebuild on a building that molded out that badly. Shit is gone all you could really do is just demo the building and start new. I would not risk it ill give it 6months top's untill people start getting headaches, stuffy nose and another 6 months untill people just cant even work there cause they've become hyper sensitive to the mold.

I’ve been watching since the Cata Class guides man. Hearing your intro is actually a shot of nostalgia for me. You basically held my hand guiding me through my favorite game, and being my favorite personality in the WoW space. Even though you moved on from WoW for the most part, I still love your content and you’re still one of my favorite MMO personalities. I feel like you’re doing very well in the space since covering more games and I’m super stoked to see that your good name is getting passed around in the background. I hope to see more of your content in the future, hopefully see you in the RWF, and happy to hear TDP is back in spirit.
Gotta admit Preach..your channel has been one of my favorites on youtube since i discovered it back when i saw the "Legacy of TBC". I owe to those videos me starting to play WoW, a passion that has brought me so many memories and long lasting friendships.
Given all of this i was kinda sad about not having seen videos coming out on here, but knowing that videos like "Legacy of MMO dungeon" are going to come out makes me pretty excited.

Thanks for the update! I was feeling like the videos were slower, but have been enjoying VODs in the meantime. Really admire the quality standards you have set for yourself and the professional attitude you have towards managing your channels. As long as you have a way for me to discover everything you do, I sure will follow along.

This is great news! Ive been ready to see more wow class legacy videos for ages! Especially some classes having almost 20 yrs history now. I rewatch the current legacies alot as is. The old 2010s retro gaming feel with Ghosty is great. Missed you guys!

Considering what happened to the office I can't really blame you for pushing stuff back. You've got a standard that you want, and it is worth the wait. I really wish I could catch the livestreams, but I can't sadly. Anyways best wishes and I can't wait for what is to come!
You do what you gotta do my man. I like the idea for the other channels. Even if that stretches the viewers out, it will make it easier for people to find what they want to see immediately.

Yeah, I'd love more videos but not at the cost of everyone's lungs. I'm too much of an asthmatic to think otherwise, I really can't imagine how badly affected the whole building must be.
Never ever would I move back in that shithole, but I guess they have their reasons, so I hope at least the owners step up their game now.
Glad to hear things are coming along with the office space! As someone who keeps up somewhat with the live shows + highlights but whose main PG go-to over the past year has been watching the full FFXIV vods (I'm nearly at EW), I find the VOD channel super useful. I've also just reached the point where you were moving in to the office and the excitement you had for the space is palpable.
Hopefully you'll be able to make all those ideas you've had in your had for the past year come to life just as you've dreamt them! Can't wait to watch.
Your big project videos are always excellent (and I've been watching them since the very beginning, even if I barely ever comment) so it's nice to hear about a renewed focus on them.
In terms of stream content, the Terraria streams have been some of my absolute favourites to watch. That game has such an incredible sense of escalation and progression and it's been a joy to watch you uncover it piece by piece (even if master mode is a poor way to do it).
No worries at all, Preach! I think you've still done a hell of a job through all the struggles you've had. I'll forever follow and support your content regardless of what it is or how often.

Great news! This sounds like a solid plan. I like all of your content but I definitely tend to be feeling one style or the other, so having stuff split up makes perfect sense to me. I missed the more youtube focused stuff though, that's always been my favorite. Glad to hear the studio stuff is finally close to sorted, though the horror movies were fun.
Thanks for putting this video together. I had some changes happen in my life during BFA and had to stop playing wow and didn't have have time for twitch. I would still catch drama time here and there and I like checking in on your content when time allows as it was always top notch and well researched. Im glad to see the changes and I subbed to both the other channels. You were the first content creator that made me expect more out of youtube given the quality of your content. Keep it up and looking forward to catching more of your videos as they release.
I watched a couple older videos last night where you mentioned making further, more specific videos with the ffxiv stuff and the single players, and I reminded how hugely the office flooding messed everything up. I'd have broken big time. But you're still here, and you're all still working. Looking forward to seeing what's to come, whether that be the previous deep dives you mentioned or elsewise.

I'm genuinely worried if they're already putting carpet down. How much did they actually remove? I would seriously do mold tests once a month just to see how the air quality is. That shit can really wreck your lungs/health.

As someone who consumes a lot of your content via UA-cam and not Twitch, these changes are good to hear. UA-cam sucks and I think your changes are much needed to keep the algorithm happy. Please vlog studio construction!

Absolutely am hoping for more WoW legacy videos, also would love more of you just sitting down and breaking down a fight for us. Not a guide but your mythic fight thoughts on how your team tackled certain problems because I know you love talking about that and it's amazing to listen to.
I mean let's be honest here, Preach has always been driven to constantly evolve and deliver more and more higher quality content, I honestly admire his passion and work ethic, it's freaking insane. This was useful to me, I've been debating on making new channels or not and this has helped make up my mind. I have a much smaller following but I want to do more than just gaming and yeah, probably not good to mix my apples and oranges.
Glad to see TDP is coming back. I’ve always found those videos so much more interesting than your average wow video talking about nonsense and clickbait. Like sometimes just hearing a chat about the state of the game or some tips on how to get better is just pretty comforting to listen to in the background
Totally get what you’re saying about having certain videos on certain channels. I watch a couple react channels because I like hearing opinions about shows I like but they do a variety of shows and most I haven’t seen nor care to so I watch like 1-2 videos of theirs a week when they upload everyday

@@rahman4946 There was an argument between Ghost and one of Preaches Mods/key community guys. (He's not just like a twitch mod he was actively involved in running the channel, preachcon etc.) Preach either refused to take a side, or took the Mod's side over Ghosts ( I can't remember which) and Andy walked.
The Mod has since been removed too and Mike and Andy have tried to patch things up as friends behind the scenes but it doesn't seem the same. Honestly seems a really stupid situation tbh but that's what life is like sometimes.
honestly, I feel like I’ve heard this kind of message from various creators that I follow and I am subscribed to. I feel like as you say it’s a number of different reasons but I am also wondering if there is like a quarterly thing going on where they are trying to push new people out there to try and boost engagement with UA-cam.
i would definitely have an independent health inspector come take a test of the air in the building before you move in. mold is not to play around with, the long term effects can be really debilitating for working in offices with any impure air at all
UA-cam needs a better alt-channel system where you can do a "view all" or segment by channel. That way you could have both a one stop shop and the separate channels and algorithms.

I miss the preach and ghost show by far the most watched thing by me.
I get no notification or recommendations for this channel since before the office flooded (didn't even know about it till the 3 month update) and thats with the bell set to all. Only reason I even saw this is because I got into the habit of browsing the Subscriptions tab instead of the home feed

When I heard of the water damage, I instantly knew it would not be anywhere near as fast as estimated and then I saw the damage. I have been working on fixing water damages and people constantly under estimate the scale of the problem. Then there's high risk that things weren't done well enough and moisture was left behind which causes mold to return and another teardown. Police office here took like 4 years to properly be fixed after water damage.

I thought there will be more in depth analysis of endwalker and shadowbringers ( of like characters) but thought the water damage held it back but maybe there isnt more

Sounds practical but I think the channels tab is so underused a lot of users might not even know it's there. Maybe taking a clip of the part where Mike quickly explains what each channel is should be what auto-plays when you open the channel to sort of direct people.

Didn't UA-cam trial out a feature waaaay back in the day called Shows or something where you could effectively segment the content within a single channel and only subscribe to that particular content? I feel like that's the type of solution that's needed. Something that's like a branch of playlists where it's not necessarily all one collection of videos, but a subsection of the channel that people can subscribe to individually

They're actually trying to recover the Office? I was pretty sure the water damage, especially after not being acted on straight away, was going to make the studio condemned and required demolishing.
Splitting it out into its own channels is very smart for a lot of reasons.
Means people who would rather not watch content based on the idea of "Lets laugh at people we don't know because they did something stupid in an online game once" can just avoid the one channel that resides on.
No worries Preach, not at all your fault but I understand where youre coming from with the series of unfortunate events.
Whilst I am seldom vocal in here or the Twitch chat (I watch almost daily whilst working), the content here has been fantastic for the many years I have followed and I will continue to do so for many years to come!
I would like to add however...the subathon/charity content from a couple of years ago has and will bring me joy for years to come. I (as I am sure are many) would love to contribute once again to this type of live event. Especially for the moments you are taken out of your gamer comfort zone!
As an example; As a 'mature gamer' in a relationship myself, and as an example of how you are expected to do 'normy grinds' akin to the gaming grinds we encounter, mucking out a horses stable for your partner was so very entertaining and wholesome, even with the moaning about it all being in good spirit for a charity fundraiser cause.
I would adore seeing (and supporting!) more of that content going forwards if it fits in to the precious schedule of course!

for selfish reasons, if you could name it something like 'Preach Gaming - TDP' or something, that'd be great. I don't like multiple channels from the same person being all over the place in my sub list :p side note: 'Preach Gaming - Drama Time' would be awesome for that channel as well!
