      @@SarahlabyrinthLHC Tell him to try out steam ♨️. I was indecisive and have decided that I too do not like ironing at all lol. It is quite aggravating, especially when it creates more wrinkles. I'm going back to steaming, which is in my experience even more effective than ironing. I steamed a shirt for a few minutes that I was having trouble ironing and it turned out way better and more appealing overall. You can flatten out the pleats with a steamer too unlike an iron.

    You crack me up Ironing Corn 😂. Great job ironing the shirt. In addition, I have a friend who hates having a crease all the way down the sleeve of his shirt. He uses a small ironing board which fits into the sleeve and rotates the sleeve as he irons. Voila! I iron very rarely now because I have a reduced and less formal wardrobe of clothes now. I still press linen items but I really don’t miss ironing at all.

    I've struggled with ironing. It seems like once I iron one side and go to the other, the side I just ironed gets all wrinkled all over again because of how it lays on the ironing board. Its so frustrating. Any tips for preventing that? Someone once suggested that I put a little starch in the distilled water spritzer but I haven't tried that yet.
    Thanks for the great content!

    • @CorneliusQuiring
      @CorneliusQuiring  Рік тому +10

      Doing the body last really seems to be the trick. Also, make sure you do several passes to dry out the fabric from the spritz. The water helps to make it easier to iron but also, much easier to wrinkle. I hope that helps.

    Sorry to burst your bubble, however this is not the "proper" way to do it but rather subjective. Water spray is unnecessary with steam action. Turns out, you're ironing the wrong side of your collar! You only need to iron/steam the other side. I personally prefer steaming vs ironing and have found it to be even more adequate. The steamer can easily tackle wrinkles that are extremely difficult and sometimes impossible to get with an iron. It can also eliminate pleats unlike an iron. Steaming does not introduce wrinkles the way that ironing does either. It additionally gives the shirt a much more relaxed look and feel.
