Why no one used the tow hitch area for something before this is beyond me...but, then again, I didn't think of it either! Pure genius. I want one just to reward great thinking outside the box entrepreneurs!

They have regular break light. Doesn’t do all this stuff but imo looks nicer
I like that Tesla made that rear cover with more than 2 clips. Every other manufacture would have cheaped out on that.
Shiva I gave you a thumbs up for effort but you might want to clean your car for the next vid.
I have tried installing a similar light with my factory tow hitch. I am sure this light will not work. The tow hitch receiver is right up against the cover, and there's no depth to put anything thicker than the cover in that slot. I am disappointed that you and the manufacturer have not noted that this light will not fit.
Nice little accessory shame i cant fit to my 2019 model 3 but it would mean cutting the bumper to fit

Will this install with an existing Tesla tow package?
I couldn’t find an instruction manual on their website to confirm this would work with a Model Y that already has the Tow Package. If so, why wouldn’t it just plug into trailer lights?

Yes, you can still install this if you have a tow hitch installed. I haven't seen the trailer light connection but if it is the same as the tail lights then the install becomes a lot easier. Thank you.
Would be cool if it just connects to tow light harness. Of course if you have a tow hitch I wonder if light would even fit?

Oddly enough it can never be that simple. Too bad.
Bad idea doing the wiring like that, unless you’re trying to cause an electrical short.
