    Thanks so much for this video. I'm just back from my first trip to the beach with my Gitzo. I took the legs apart to clean them and some plastic bits fell out and I couldn't figure out how to put them back. So thanks for this video...it helped a lot. :-)

    I wish you added cleaning one of the connected larger diameter legs. Do you keep the smaller leg inserted into the larger diameter leg when you clean the larger leg?

    I've got all equipment needed to start cleaning my Gitzo, except for a hotel towel... ;)

    Does your Gitzo ballhead friction knob turn anti clockwise to tighten? Mine does and It bugs the hell out of me.

      I actually use a ballhead from a company called Acratech. Incredibly well-built and lightweight for their abilities. They rotate the "correct" way. 😂

    Haha almost managed to balance the tube around 5:00.

    A couple of my legs won't lock anymore. Would cleaning them fix that?

    • @lightsourcejourneys
      @lightsourcejourneys  2 роки тому +1

      Not necessarily. One possibility is that the little plastic collar may have broken, not allowing the tension to lock them down.

      @@lightsourcejourneys Yeah, that is what I am actually thinking at this point.

      @@GoneWanderingWild That's the great thing about Gitzo, you can usually get a replacement part from them easily and relatively inexpensively. Same with Manfrotto.

      @@lightsourcejourneys Yeah, I got it today and now it works great!!

    Just got my gt4543lsus. As I was unpacking it and twisting the locks. One of the locks came undone - the lowest one - and will not go back. It's not like the one shown in your demo. Do you have any idea? It is new.

      Anthony Amos , it should be a similar one or two piece similar to the one in the video. Either way, one or two piece, the process is the same. Good luck!
