About my brushes
I have always bought my favorite brushes from Drawell direct from Japan. They are handmade in Japan. Drawell will ship readily to anywhere in the world. The prices on their website are in Japanese currency but if you send Mr Maeyama an email he will give you prices in other currencies. Thank you. I was surprised how much i liked the textured more colored paper version. Very vintage and soft. I really liked it, which I didn’t think i would when you showed the sketchbooks at the start. Interesting demo.
that off white paper has such an cool texture! I must say I've always been intrigued by those sheets of paint ❤
I really like the rough texture of the one book. It gives a dry brush look without dry brushing.

I purchased several sets of these paints. I love doing small abstract color cube pieces. The metalics are great for using tiny nail art bruch to do abstract lines on top of the piece. The cork makes the pallet so very light. ❤
I ❤ Viviva. I bought my first sets in 2017 when they did their Kickstarter crowdfunding. They are easy to carry and vibrant. At the same time...I find the colours more "inky" than the traditional watercolours. Vivivas are still fun to use Formcard making, journalling and sketchbooking.

I have the square sketchbook. It's the perfect size to carry with you. From what I've seen on your video I got lucky getting the square one. The paper in it is very nice.

I love these. I have the color sheets. You can also swatch the color underneath each color! There is a place for that. They are very hard to tell the color otherwise.

This was very useful! I've really enjoyed the colorsheets, and am even getting more confident with the water brush. The basic sketchbook is a bit smooth for my taste, and I'd considered the cold press. But seeing in this video how rough and how yellow the paper is, I'm not planning to buy it - thanks for showing how the various papers look and act!

I just got the Vivivia spring set (following your recommendation. Along with far too many Chinese watercolours you recommended in a video 🤭). I used them yesterday, and they are gorgeous. I'm off to italy on hols, so I'm thinking I might get the travel set... you're a terrible influence. Mx
I love the paints. I have the first two sketchbooks, the smooth one is very nice. The one with the darker paper was difficult for me to use and I stopped using it. Maybe because I was inexperienced, but I used a pencil first and the eraser tore the paper up, after a couple of layers of paint the same thing happened. Like I said it could have been me. I may try again 😊. I recommend the smooth book 100% and the paint
I’m going to try the darker book again. It might be nice for vintage type work or pen and ink in a rustic style … but it is not ideal for everything that’s for sure!
@@DianeAntoneStudioI agree. I haven’t touched it in 2 years, except to cut a few pages out for my friend to try. For someone like me who’s inexperienced it’s not ideal 😊
I have the pan sets and one of the sketchbooks. I really like them a lot. The sketchbook is very nice and the paper does really well and is quite heavy. Good value for the money. The palettes are also light-fast according to the company, unlike the sheets, but the sheets are fine for sketches.

Bonjour Diane , j aime bien que tu montres tout ce beau materiel , ca fait envie , j aime bien le carnet carre , c est ma dimension favorite , ca va bien pour les mandalas , et j aime beaucoup la boite de peinture en bouchons recycles , heureusement que je ne sais pas faire les commandes par internet parce que sinon j acheterai trop de choses tant ca me plait et je n aurai peut etre meme pas le temps de tout utiliser vu que je suis vieille .
I agree with you that the colorsheets would be thoroughly enjoyed by children however...the cost is Very high for such minimal amounts of paint. I enjoyed them but at $22 US dollars, that is quite expensive for sheets of color. I think $12 would be an appropriate price for the sheets. I would hesitate to purchase again. I enjoyed your video-thank you :)
The paint does go a long way. I haven’t managed to use up any of the colors at all yet… Not for young children though, I was thinking young teens really.
