can someone answer a question ... why ,no matter what race car show cars leaving show drag races etc why is there always at least 1 car with a tail light out ? you put all this money into these cars and more to keep them healthy to race and it looks stupid with 1 tail light out . its at every classic car event/race ive seen on youtube so far and i watch alot if you check my channel . even the classic trans am racing cars has a car with a tail light out . is this some fad like having the reverse lights on all the time ? thanks to whom ever can answer this ...

I know theres kill switches in the rear of the cars , but why is there always 1 car with 1 rear light not working . ? . Is it where the kill is put ???? .
I wonder the same thing. While watching Barrett Jackson that question came up from the TV audience one night I believe Bob Varsha was the one reading the answer from some panel of experts. He basically said it happens during the shipping of the vehicle. So since most of these cars are trailered I assume that's what happens. On the other hand I ask a guy who was racing why he didn't have both tail lights working and he told me he took out the light fixture to save weight. Finally yes some people put the battery shut off switch there. Hope that answers your question, because I wondered the same. Can't wait till tracks open again! Stay safe.
