The first time I went there was in 1984 with my pops. I met a Hawaiian kid that was spear fishing so we swam way out there when the reef was still alive. I came face to face with a massive grouper. He ended up spearing a trigger fish. That was the first place that I surfed, ended up surfing all my life. I always feel the presence of my father the most when I'm there. Thanks for sharing!
