Hello friends, did you know that to have a good Govt. job around 10 lakh people appear for UPSC exam, out of which only 0.2% candidates can clear it after multiple attempts. Where these Govt. jobs provide benefits like medical supports for entire family, travel allowance, pension, job security, etc. But if Govt. job is so beneficial then why 43% of the students do are interested in private jobs. Whereas in govt. jobs only 37%. Is it because of private jobs providing better opportunities, room for growth and timely increments in salary? So which is better, Govt. job or private jobs? After working in a private job for 2 years, I think that you can either love it or hate it depending on the field and interest. I got into a private job which is totally different from my field (mechanical) but pays well. But now after 2 years I am making more mistakes than I used to. Every single task feels like a burden. Earlier I thought I would be able to survive in this field but now it seems impossible

I think if you are the kind of person who can handle pressure then you should go for private. It is obvious that private job will provide you more increment every year. Government job will give you facilities like HRA and other allowances but you won't be able to earn as much as you will in private jobs and that too in a short period. Also your increment in private jobs will totally depend on your skills. In my job it was off on weekends, but the workload was so much that i had to work on most of the weekends. Even government jobs there is stress but not as much as private field especially when you don't like the field. Also, there are times when you don't feel like working in a particular field and you are just there for the money.
Ultimately, you can go for a private job. You may like it. If you don't then stay there for atleast 1 or 2 years. If nothing, you will atleast gain some experience. Now this experience will benefit you if you go for some other job or even if you go for MBA. You will be able to decide what kind of life you want after you have worked in private job. No company hires a fresher. So it would be better to gain some experience in private then try for government and if you can't find any good government job then come back to the private job. Also learn as nuch skills as possible. Like learn some programming language or MS excel.

I don't understand why no one is talking here about "RESERVATION". It's not only about job, but also about studies. "Unreserved" students, even with a high percentage, don't get into a good university, whereas " Reserved" class students get in the same University, with as much low percentage as 45%. This isn't fair at all. At the end, all the Unreserved class students have to opt for Private University or Private job. That means a mediocre UNRESERVED student or candidate won't get a good opportunity, whereas a low scorer from the RESERVED class will easily get a good job.
In the last sentence there will be RESERVED not UNRESERVED....

Nice video, but missed key factors like Performance Linked Incentive for bankers, fixed payment fixation and Dearness Allowance in public sector jobs. For example in covid crisis many private sector employees lost their jobs in downsizing but public sector bankers got pay hike of 17% in their basic pay which is nearly 21% in gross salary with arear of 23months with 7% interest on that.

According to me private job is better than a govt job. I m from India, now i live NY and I m a Microsoft software engineer.... When i first joined the job i got a package of about 2.5 crore per annum indian rupees... Which is almost impossible for a govt employee to earn in his entire carrier

Ek normal IT job me salary 1.5 lakh per month hone me 10 years ya more lagta hai..but wahi aapne koi bhi engineering ki govt job nikal li..to starting salary 80-90k per month..to phir..ye difference hai..normal private job me starting salary itni kam hai ki insan acche se lifestyle nhi ji sakta..that's why person wants to go in govt job..🙏
