I made kimchi fried rice for dinner 🍳
I've been addicted to watching ASMR videos on UA-cam lately, and kimchi fried rice made there looked so good I had to copy them!
I can't wait to make this kimchi fried rice again because it was so delicious I could imagine! 😋

I have moderate depression, and honestly these videos give me so much motivation during the day. Like she makes every moment feel special, and daily chores feel like something akin to a ritual.
I’ve been putting of the dishes for a week, and I saw this video and decided I would do them to try and make my day special.
Good motivation. They have been lowering my blood pressure and stress related illnesses
Someone told me something not too long ago that's been helping me with being able to keep up with not just my housework but my self-care amidst my own depression. "Do the task as a gift to your future self, and don't forget to thank yourself after you've finished it." These videos emphasize that for me, as well as give me something to relax to for a while once the task is done. I've also been working on learning to forgive myself if I've let something slide, so if you slip, forgive yourself and carry on. :-)
You will feel better if you keep your living space neat and clean. Especially if you’re home a lot. I promise 100%!!
@@CuriousRedChicken Especially since most housecleaning tasks don't take too much mental effort once you've gotten started. You might even find doing the same old thing in different ways every once in a while can help. As an example, I used to hate doing dishes by hand when I didn't have a machine to do the work for me, and now that I've got one I find that I sometimes need to do them by hand for my mental health. Same with mopping my floors; I've got a swiffer as well as the old pain in the butt mop and bucket lol. Extra points for the Pine Sol making the place smell like my mom's house when I was a kid lol.

I had an orange this AM. Peeled and sectioned, threw it on a plate. Stopped, remembered these vids, rearranged sections to resemble a flower but you know what? It tasted better! Made me feel special 🤗🙏🤣🤣🤣

I think it is really about making the effort. Need to make the effort for The orange to look better . We need to make the effort to feel better as well.
I had a very successful marriage for many years. Now, as a widow I enjoy being alone and cooking, shopping, going to the beach, reading with a cup of coffee, and my day usually flies by. It’s not sad, I always have family and friends to turn to if I need some conversation.

When you live in a tiny 500 sf studio.
There is nothing else to do but to decorate especially Japan many store catering for that.

My mother when she has to just make food for herself just makes anything literally as easy as possible so I showed her this and told her that she also just makes food for herself but see how much she loves and appreciates herself that she always puts effort in her meal and you should too since me and my brother we both live some place else and she does this everyday but now I am seeing a change!

なんだか最近悲しいニュースに胸が苦しくて、ふとしたときに色んな人の人生と自分の人生を交差するように考えてしまっていたけど、この動画を観たら毎日誰にでも穏やかな幸せがきっとあって、辛いこともたくさんあるけど、人はそうやって乗り越えられるって思いました。うまく伝えられませんが、心が軽くなりました。ありがとうございます。

I feel it is easier to be a single In Japan. We have a word “ohitorisama” which means a single customer to be called not offensive way. The restaurants and cafes are normally very nice to ohitorisama customers and I love it! Please come over as a couple, group or, “ohitorisama” you are all welcomed.
I just want a Japanese person to tell me directions to make rice. Cook time, type of rice, measurement of water, salt yes or no...all of it.

I wish my health would allow me to visit Japan. It’s been a wish for many years. I’m 61 now and don’t see my health getting any better, u fortunately 😩
Japan is in my bucket list. I hope I'll be able to visit it.

All she does is beautiful and in such good taste. In Japan, where they work such long hours, how does she do it? Happy she is able to, including having a pretty comfortable life as a single woman; not always easy. I swear the look of that avocado will hunt me forever... such perfection. Love this channel. 🙏🌹
Today I went to a cafe too, I can't drink my coffee inside but was really satisfactory drink my favourite coffe with my mom. I love your Vlogs makes me feel happy and see how it's the life in Japan. I hope one day visit your country is one of my biggest dream 😊

This is the life I want. Live alone and earn money by working and cook for myself, go shopping I know it's sound sad but it does makes me happy since I've been living with my husband and family for a long time.

It feels like a modern version of the 50s where the people dress up when they go shopping. Meanwhile, in the U.S. people wear sweats or Pjs.
some people have stressful day lives and maybe they just want to be comfortable while running errands instead of trying to impress judgmental strangers that they don't know and probably never will know.
That's correct, its a different style in Japan. I am British and have a Japanese wife, in Britain we dress to go out for dinner, Japanese less so. My wife complains if I don't dress to go shopping! Japan is a lovely country to live in.
