tactteam00 Wouldn't be that high without the government only paying 80% of medical expenses so private insurers have to pay 120% of theirs. Wouldnt be that high without the ban on discriminating on pre existing conditions, which lets say someone healthy paid $150 a month and someone with diabetes paid $350 a month before the ACA, now they both pay $250, so healthy people get punished financially for not being unhealthy and under the ACA if they wanted to drop care they would get fined for it. Thank god the forced healthcare tax was repealed with the 2017 tax reform bill. Our healthcare system needs more privatization, because it is essentially a command/mixed economic industry as of today and we know the flaws of command economies already.

@@warpedcomedy 1. i don't want people who hate me in charge of my healthcare more than they already are. 2. its not any cheaper, the cost just comes in taxation 3. the quality will go down inevitably 4. canada literally has euthanization councils for human beings 5. most european countries simply make health insurance mandatory 6. America is so much more obese than any other country that has your beholden national healthcare, and that will be quite costly to manage for a country already running record deficits. In short, it's not feasible, it's not better, it's not cheaper, and people who hate me will be in control of it so I can deduct that that's the only actual reason you want it

@@immaculatesquid You'd rather have a bloodsucking insurance company that charges you more in premiums than you would pay in taxes and has a financial incentive to deny as much care as possible in charge of your healthcare?
Yes, most European countries do make health insurance mandatory. They also heavily regulate insurance. No ridiculous overpriced deductibles or copays, no fighting with your insurance company to cover a necessary treatment, and its all paid for with a reasonable health tax instead of an inflated premium.
Literally every developed industrialized nation except for the US has universal healthcare at this point. There's no excuse beyond rampant profiteering by insurance and drug companies.
