I was at a loss. This fixed the problem. Another feature of this model ius that if your oil gets too low the car will shut down going up a hill or it won't start at all. Gotta love computers!!!
So i was having the same problem with my 2015 200 and my mechanic found the problem after trying everything from replacing battery, key fob battery, relays, fuses he finally found the problem it was a loose cable on the starter he pluged it back on and the car started right up check that cable first before you start buying new alternators, starters, batteries etc... hope this works for u guys as well

Had the same issue. The fey fob reset worked the first time. But I knew it was not the problem. The car was hesitant to start most of the time. Took it to the dealer they inspected everything (wiring, fuses, battery...) and found that the starter was almost dead. They had to replace it (costed me $$$). Now it starts just perfectly. Also they did the software upgrade on the power train module which is under a new recall (jan 2021). Since then the car is running smmoth, no rough idling, no rough shifting etc. The transmission seems much faster and responsive than before. They should have done it earlier.
@@hudsonjamesc mine was out of warranty. Had 145k clicks on it. In my case key fob reset worked couple of times, but it was the starter. It was replaced. Costed me $1000 (labour is very expensive). But they also did the software upgrade which is under a new recall (jan 2021) to fix the excessive oil consumption. Now i don't have any rough idling, or lethargic transmission.

I’ve also pushed the panic button when I was trying to Check out my key fob I just smashed all the different ones so thank you so much I hope this helps me because I bought a brand new battery for my car to because I thought that was it . Yes this helped me some months ago. Now my car is doing the same thing. Wont start just been sitting in my driveway since the 27th of nov. I changed the battery in the key fog again. I will try the reset again in the morning. Hopefully this works.
Simply changed car batter with 750cc H6 and car started. Tried every video in this topic. Changed key fob batteries, used neutral release, jumped battery and all failed. 185,000 miles on car and never had a problem. If you still have the OE Mopar battery change it first!

1. Tried replacing key fob battery 2. Tried pressing ignition start button with key fob. 3. Tried putting more engine oil in. 4. Tried holding down lock and unlock key fob buttons for 10 seconds. Then lock twice. Then unlock once. 5. Installed new gel battery. 😅🎉 Chrysler 200 now starts.
Like i said i have a 2016 Chrysler 200 it has 199,700 miles i got new key fob battery it still won't start and it came when at a financial crisis right now please tell me what is the problem.

My 2012 Chrysler 200 wouldn’t crank or start for no clear reason. The only thing wrong with mine was the chip in my key went out! Try your spare key see if that works before y’all buy a starter
Plz help us we have the same issue but the lock thing is new. First it was that the car wouldn’t start without a jump. So we checked the battery and the alternator, those weren’t the problem so we took it into the dealer and they kept the car for 5 day only to tell us that they couldn’t find the problem so we got the car back from them except now we have this lock issue!?! Omg we are so frustrated!
I have 2015 chrysler 200 and i have had my vehicle maybe 6 months and already tons of issues with not cranking also this car has a serious serious oil consumption problem which causes alot of these cars motors to blow out completly. The makers got it all wrong when it comes down to the right oil once I changed the oil myself to a much thicker oil car stopped losing oil so fast and once the oil life reads to 50 % ON THE SCREEN PPL DONT KNOW THIS CHRYSLERS AUTOMATICLY START SHUTTING OFF LETTING YOY KNOW OIL LOW.
Mine started shutting off after I replace the alternator and the battery. Sometimes it takes a couple of minutes for it to turn on. I’m going to try topping off off the oil. Thank you.
HARDAWAY Natural Born Hustlah my complaint was no crank no start , actually no accessory, too. I had lights. I remember it said no key detected on dashboard.it been almost 2 years. It took me all day to figured out. Dead battery in key fob. I didn’t know a lot about automotive at that time. Now I know a lot well still learning. I still have my car . No problem so far.
HARDAWAY Natural Born Hustlah if no crank no start . No accessory. Just dome light. Chance is key fob. If crank Slowly then no start. All lights on dashboard (accessory on) Weak battery.

Our cheysler 200 didn't start, everything dead. Towed to service. Changed starter. Two week9 later same thing. Service did something with wires. Two weeks I Same thing happened again. This time they put brand new battery in it. Today it happened again, same thing totally dead. By now our nerves are totally on edge. Could it be manufacturing error. Going totally crazy.

The starter is covered under 60k power trainin warranty? How much did the dealer charge?

This helped out a lot I’m going to get the battery in the key fob replaced tomorrow

Disconnect car battery and reconnect and then try to start.

Try to put a heat shield over the starter and wires. I just did that. I have a problem starting when hot.

The fob rest didn't work for me. Now my fob doesn't work at all and my car started flashing the lights inside the car.
