- Hello everyone. It's been a while, huh? Actually, I had no plans to make another video and "One"(Madara AMV) was supposed to be my last AMV. Well, it still is, because this video is not an AMV, but a Manga Music Video (MMV? idk hahah). I always thought this kind of video to be really charming, and wanted to give it a try.
The edited manga is Mega Man Megamix (and some pannels of Gigamix too), created by Hitoshi Ariga. I'm a huge Mega Man fan, it's easily my favorite game franchise ever, and Ariga's Megamix/Gigamix series is by far the best interpretation of these games to any different media in my opinion. The balance between lighthearted and dark moments is perfect and some stories can be really emotional.
The arc used in this video is the one from the story "The Greatest Enemy in History", the last arc of Megamix, which adapts Mega Man 6, mixing some events of Mega Man 1 and 7. The main character here is Copy Mega Man, or Copy Robot, who was created by Dr. Wily when Mega Man tries to put an end to his evil schemes for the sixth time. The Copy believes he's the real Mega Man, and even has all of his memories. After defeat the original, he goes after Wily and tries to kill him. Surprised with "Mega Man's" intentions, Wily realized that the one who tried to kill him was the Copy, because the only difference in terms of personality between the Copy and the Original is Dr. Wily's evil chip implanted in his circuits, which twists his sense of justice, making him destroy an entire city and declare war on humanity for force robots to destroy each other and ruin with the planet's nature. In order to reach his goals, Copy Mega Man has to face his fellow robots, his family and the painful truth.
It's a really amazing and emotional story, that develops the essence of Mega Man as a hero very well. I read it for the first time when I was editing "One", and since I was reading, I had Remember Everything playing in my head all the time, and I thought: Maybe I'll edit this story in the future, as a tribute for the franchise I love so much, and if I do, I will definitely use this music. Hope you enjoy! :))
If you're a Mega Man fan, I really recommend you to take a look at Megamix and Gigamix, the series was published by Udon Comics, so I think you can still find it to buy.

I just realized that, as he grabbed bass, copy's colors lightened to look more like mega man. he really was mega man in those final moments.

Also, at 2:34, I made the Copy's reflection have red eyes, referencing the character's original eye color in the game's official artwork. When Copy Mega Man sees his reflection with red eyes, it is to represent that he is seeing himself as a copy. And at 2:39, when Proto Man confirms that he is, in fact, a Copy Robot, his eyes actually turn red, representing that he is FEELING himself as a copy
When I made this video, I thought a lot about how I could use colors and effects to transform and intensify the concepts of the story, even referencing the game itself. So I'm really happy to see someone noticing it, haha

I've been a copy robot fan since i saw the *original*, and when my friends sent me this i know it was a coordinated attack because this hurts in the best way. it's wonderful, thank you so much for making it :D

What a pleasant surprise to find this when searching up Megamix. I binged through this entire series a few years ago and this was easily the most touching story out of all of them. This is such a well done Tribute, thank you for the effort your put into this!

Agreed! This story is one of the best Mega Man things ever created, so I felt like this video HAD to be made. Ariga's work with Mega Man is simply incomparable and more people should know and talk about it.

Cara isto ficou incrível! A música de encaixou perfeitamente com o contexto da história.
É muito bom ver um lado mais pesado dos jogos do megaman e ver as Reais perturbações que afligem a cabeça de nosso herói. Só acho que o fato dele ser uma cópia o tempo todo quebra um pouco do clima, seria legal se realmente fosse o megaman revoltado com os humanos, mas de resto a edição,a música,os efeitos tá tudo muito incrível!

Eu gosto demais também! O que eu mais curto nesse mangá é o jeito que a "alma" e os sentimentos dos robôs são abordados, isso torna alguns arcos bem sombrios e sentimentais. A ideia desse em específico é algo tipo: mesmo se o Mega Man fosse corrompido, ele se esforçaria ao máximo pra fazer a coisa certa no final. É uma história sobre a essência do herói. E o fato dela ser trabalhada em cima de uma cópia, que acredita ser o original, com as lembranças e tudo, é muito bad, hahah
@@TheKunske kkk psé, normalmente nunca foi abordado os sentimentos dos robôs em megaman algo que é super interessante e deviam abordar com mais frequências, nos só temos as informações mesmo....mas nada de algo assim, já conhecia este manga a um tempo porém este vídeo fez eu me interessar muito por este manga.

He means, make megaman megamix but instead of it being in classic mega man, it's in mega man x.
