Every time we do a US cross-country trip I “forget” about a state or two that seems to make the travel day go on forever (the latest was Wisconsin 😆). The truth is, the North American continent is just HUGE. Doubly so for Canada! 😳 But you all make road tripping so interesting; looking forward to being along for the ride!
Drone was just hovering while driving on and off. We've got 4 eyes between the two of us so Kalyn was able to make sure no aircraft were in the area. -J
Great video! A tip we found was to add the thin flexible cutting boards to the back of the freezer wall. When it's time to defrost, you'll be able to pull those loose and a lot of the ice will come off easier and quicker! 😀
Kalyn is so excited these comments are coming in.....She actually suggested this while we were filming and I ignored the advice. She is relishing every one of these comments telling her that she was right. 😂 -J
I love that you're doing the whole cross country thing. I can't wait to ride along with you on your videos. Being from Pennsylvania we know just how far the east coast can be from out west. :) but it's always a fun adventure.
My husband and I have been watching for several months (since we came across one of your videos about gate guarding.) Love your content and we watch every week now! So glad you were able to do the Alaska trip. Thanks for sharing your adventures and we look forward to seeing what's ahead!
Lots of fun stuff coming each and every Friday!! (Unless we get swamped and end up missing a friday which happens about once a quarter so far. Keep trying to make that NOT happen. LOL) -J
Gorgeous views and excellent soaring music choices to accompany the scenery! Well done! You guys do such a great job getting footage with your drone! 😍
Wow what a beautiful stretch of road / highway from Alaska into Canada! Top notch drone footage, Joe! Trinity is such a happy pup. I’m so glad she became part of your family! Can’t help with the delayed poop situation…our French bulldogs go outside, lie down and the minute we say let’s go inside, they run off to do their business! 😂💩 Oh to be a dog! 😊🐾❤ Or a cushy cozy Cody! ❤ Safe travels to all of you!
Loved the drone shots... I have the older Mavic 2 Pro, so while my wife is just enjoying a video, I'm analyzing the drone video parts, wondering if the battery will run out, if it's gonna hit a tree, if it's going to turn into a submarine.... 😂🤣😆
We have loved watching your Alaskan adventure. Thanks for sharing. I understand the carrying the poop bag on the majority of a hike. I trained my dog to carry it tied to his harness. We started off with practicing on a short walk. He shook at first, but it only took time 2 or 3 times to get used to it. Now he is good to carry it for 5 miles.
I stayed at Hi Country RV Park in 2023. I changed a bad transmission there. There is much more to do in Whitehorse but hiking at Miles Canyon was definitely a high point. I had my dual sport motorcycle with me which allowed me to explore the area while I acquired a transmission and parts. Anthony (a park employee) helped me out while I was there. I was a long way from home, I live in very northern New York State. You will enjoy the places that you are going to pass through as you travel to New York State.
Of for sure - quite a bit there. We're always limited in how much we can explore due to our work schedule but it's always fun to try to go out and catch a couple of things! -J
A tip for your freezer. Line the back of the freezer with thin plastic cutting mats. When it’s time to defrost, just pull the cutting mat out and the whole ice sheet usually comes out all in one piece. You might have to use your blow dryer/heat tool on one corner so you can get your fingers in to pull the mat out. It only takes me about ten minutes to defrost my freezer doing it this way.
@@lannycarpenter-yc1wd I’m going to have to try that. I’m stationary so it defrosts and then drips down the tube in back. Question:: my food cabinets get really hot. Is that ok for the canned food??
Ok - I wanna give you guys a tip about your harness for Trinity. I’ve been a positive reinforcement dog trainer for 12 years now. Lead dog trainer for Zoom Room nationally for four years (moved on from that). Had a ghost writer write my puppy training book, which is an international best seller for years now. Anyways, any time you have a dog who pulls all the time or sometimes, you do not want a back clip harness. You want a front clip harness. Sled dogs use a back clip harness for a reason! Because it allows them to PULL really hard with all of the full force of their body. It encourages pulling. A front clip harness, alternatively, causes your dog to turn TOWARDS you when they try to pull. They lose the ability to dig in and really pull. It stops them from rearing up, too. A front clip harness will make your dog safer, make walking easier on you, will prevent other dogs from becoming nervous when they see your dog on the trail, etc. It’s also just easier. AND it sort of helps train your dog not to pull in a passive way. If you are using a back clip harness advertised as being good for pulling, they lied. Anyways, I HIGHLY recommend the Wonder Walker for Little Miss Trinity. Will make your life (and hers) easier and better. Just make sure you fit it properly or it won’t work and could be uncomfortable to her. Ask me for fitting help if you choose to buy a front clip. I’m on Wild RV Life Circle as well (LandB RV).
So our harness has this option, but every time we use it she gets her legs tangled in the leash. We do notice she pulls a little less this way...but she still will hike her butt high and dig in sometimes. 😂 -J
@@OpenRoading If you are using the retractable leash when clipped to the front, it’s more likely to get caught up. I always recommend a regular 6ft leash when using a front clip harness. It can still get caught, but less likely. Flexi-leashes are notorious for that issue. Also, it’s super important the harness is fitted very snugly and properly if using the front clip. Loose is bad! Imagine a loose bra 🤣 Certainly it’s true that no piece of equipment will ever be a total cure. What a lot of clients do is use a retractable on back clip for an exploratory sort of walk/hike, but front clip with 6ft leash and all other walks. Anyhoo…. As long as you guys and she are happy, that’s all that really matters!
What a cool drive! I’m in Spartanburg County, SC, and we haven’t had internet for 9 days and counting. Luckily we also have no cell service…lol. Impossible to keep up with UA-camrs just getting an hour or two per day in front of a gas station. I’ll be clearing fallen trees for months. Thanks for taking us along!
Oh man. I hope we can bring a tiny smile in a dark time. If you know of a way to help directly let me know. We've been praying for you all. Having lived through a flood that was NOTHING like what ya'll are going through, I can only imagine the long road ahead. -J
@@OpenRoading Thank you! We’re very thankful that around here it’s a matter of fallen trees and rebuilding utilities. Dangerous no doubt but the flooding and devastation is so much worse just into the hills above us. It has reshaped and/or eliminated so many communities and taken so many people. Not to mention everything that’s happened since. Hopefully the storm about to hit Florida isn’t as bad as it looks like it might be.
@@jeremyj612 Our old home (that we no longer have) is right in the center of a couple of the spagetti strands. The thing is, when you live in Florida you expect it. When you live in the mountains of NC, SC, and TN you don't. Absolutely crazy how fast everything happened. -J
@@OpenRoading Yep. I was saying the day before Helene hit all it usually means for us in the upstate is lots of rain and a little wind. All the locals here will tell you it’s far and away the worst storm they’ve seen. I was stationed at Elgin AFB on the Florida panhandle for a few years. The people expect them like you said and it’s a way of life, but it’s interesting to look back at how things go away and are rebuilt or replaced after big storms. Sometimes it’s tough to take them seriously but when you don’t, you might get the wrong kind of surprise.
Joe, you seem a lot more relaxed in this video than some of the last few. Keep up the good work you guys. I live in north east Vermont, tiny house, off the grid. I feel your plight with the solar coming into winter. Even just adding another 2-400 watts of solar to your system could make a huge difference! Maybe just add 1 more panel, and another small charge controller for it? There’s a ton of ways to skin that cat.
Problem with adding solar is time to do it. 😂 I’ve had an extra 300ah in Lithium batteries sitting in my pass through all summer but have not had time to get it hooked up. For me to DIY another panel we’re looking at at least 2 days “lost” between all the research to make sure I’m doing it right and the actual work. 😂 I’m hoping to actually work with an electrician in 2025 to re-do all the solar wiring in the battery area so maybe then we’ll upgrade something! -J
The quality of your videos continues to get better and better - the drone shots and music in today’s was absolutely perfect! Looking forward to this next journey of yours!
All I have to say is Trinity! That face!! Her expressions are so awesome. Ok, I have something else to say, my poop bag holder that attaches to my dog’s leash has a clip that holds the poop bag, game changer! I hate carrying full poop bags on a hike, now the leash does it for me!
Where I am in South Carolina, we had wind gusts up to 45 and a little bit of rain. It really didn't amount to much even being on the backside of the storm.
Nice to see etrailer working with you guys, I have used them a few times at least. They where the only place I could find the cable for my jeep to the brake controller. Great to see Trin so happy and running around. I had a small pouch with belt clip I could put on a belt loop or backpack to carry the surprise bag. Fuel price is high in canada, guess you will not take highway 1 across canada, we did many years ago not all the way across canada but a good part of the way. So did Trin have the map upside down? Hope your trip back is going well, if you go through Wisconsin you could stay at our farm if you need to. Stay safe and healthy.
Thanks so much for watching! We were considering going across Canada but yeah, the fuel prices in some places are nearly double the US price and that adds up pretty quick so we decided to drop down and do some fun sight seeing in the mid-west US on our way back to NY! More on that soon! -J
Sad the Alaska adventure is over too! We have really enjoyed watching your travels and seeing you in Anchorage at the meet up. Looking forward to seeing your upcoming adventures heading to the northeast!
We place in the back of our freezer one of those thin, pliable plastic cutting boards. We also use a small fan and place it in the freezer. Then we soak up the water with microfiber cloths or a big thirsty sponge. We thaw our freezer out within 20 minutes. Very easy. Another beautiful video and thank you so much for my postcards. I have them hanging up on my bulletin board. Safe travels and have fun visiting family in upstate New York.❤️🐾🙏🇺🇸🇨🇦
"The dirtier the water, the tastier the water" - Trinity, probably The footage of the clouds / fog clearing up on Top of the World Highway was pretty magical. Looks like a great way to start off your 4900mi trek!
Most likely no antifreeze. It’s a dirt lot and we had a ton of rain over the few days so if there were bad things they should be mostly washed away. That said…we aren’t big on her drinking from puddles since we have a nice dish with filtered water for her. 😍 -J
Good Video!!! Love the drone footage. Hope your family and Friends back in Florida were not affected to bad by the Hurricane. Praying for all the people effected by the Hurricane.
No suggestions for getting your pup to poop late in the walk but get an old Nalgene wide mouth water bottle and put the poop bag there. You can carry it in your backpack. Just make sure you mark it so you don’t use it for beverages!
Joseph makes a great point! Boondocking at a road side pulloff for 3 days wouldn't be too fun.....glad you stayed in a nice RV park so you could enjoy 3 days of rest and exploring ❤
He keeps trying to retire from UA-cam and we keep telling him he's got too many fans and he's even got an emoji so he has to keep coming into work. 😂 -J
We did the Yukon Dawson city/top of the world trip in 2010. Had F350 2005 pulling 37’ Montana. We were in awe of the whole country of Canada and Alaska was breathtaking!! Glad you enjoyed. Did you get to Coldfoot?? Another suggestion, Ferry from Homer to Dutch Harbor n back!! Awesome. Wife the trip so far was a 9.9 but ferry was a 10!,,
Welcome to Open Roading starring Trinity! Oh yeah, with K and J as well. Seriously, great drone footage again. Do you all take turns driving or flying the drone? Sometimes I swear that Trinity is doing one or the other for you!😂
I have to chuckle because my sister likes to run on fumes. Me, as the oldest daughter of a mechanic, do not. I make sure never to be below a quarter tank when I’m at home and no less than a half to third tank when I’m traveling. September 13, 2001 was a challenging day for my husband and me as we drove 500 miles that day to return to Ohio from Missouri. Only one station was out of gas, thankfully. I’d say gas is more important than gloves at the dump station. Hands wash very easily. lol Wow that river is gorgeous. I don’t think I have ever seen water so beautiful and blue like that. And that reminds me, how in the world do you get the drone shots like you do? It is amazing how you work them in quite seamlessly. How you got that on the ferry ride is crazy. I love ferries. I grew up just 55 miles from the Mississippi River in Missouri and as we traveled around Iowa and Illinois we took ferries occasionally. Sad to see the end of Alaska but full of anticipation for the next adventures. And how cool you are in your way to New York State. I love the finger lakes area. It will be fun to see where you end up. And the big question is, are you wanting to try some snow sports this winter? Will you be going to warm weather or are you going to forgo being snowbirds? Inquiring minds want to know.
We are 1000% snow birds. Just go back and watch how “happy” we were trying to survive a 9 degree night in Texas last year. 😂😂 So New York for a bit and then on to Florida for the winter. Figured no one else has ever thought of that so we’re gonna do it. 😉
@@OpenRoading I suspected as much because I do remember. lol Honestly this is what I call the four seasons. Fall is dying. Winter is death. Spring is rebirth. Summer is life. I hate winter. Since I retired I decided I would never drive in snow or ice again. You’d think I’d want to move south but no. I can just sit inside and it is always 67° in the house l-yes I wear long sleeves year around because husband must want to keep me from spoiling so he keeps me on ice. 🤦♀️🤪 I love Spring so much I never want to leave here. I love rebirth it has a lot of meaning for me. Safe travels. 🙏💙
That hike looks amazing - putting it on my bucket list! Luckily Trinity with the fun walk! For the poop thing many people who I know time the feeding to minimize the chance of a poop! My last dog was a 3 time per walk pooper so I would always be stuck carrying bags. My new puppy however rarely does her business anywhere but our backyard so hiking this fall should get interesting!
Yeah....I don't think timing matters to her. LOL. At first we thought she pooped on a schedule, but we've learned that any time there is a big walk or run, there is also going to be a poop. Generally as far away as possible from the nearest disposal bin. -J
Trinity's expression when she saw the ferry! I think I have water skiied behind boats that are bigger than that ferry!😂😂😂 I was also with Joe on not boondocking for 3 days next to the road! 👍👍👍 Re: Not having to carry a poop bag for miles! Find a waterproof pouch of some kind, (or a reusable Ziploc baggie) stick the poo bag inside and clip it to Trinity's harness! 😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉 They also have backpacks for dogs too! She can carry other items like water and ppj's, so you don't have to. Then use one of the other pouches for poo, if needed! 🐶🐶🐶🙌🙌🙌
She needs to start carrying her own weight! I approve! lol I wasn't sure which concerned me more - the size of the boat or that there was a front end loader there constantly re-working the dirt around the docking point all day. lol -J
When we crossed TOTW in late August, it was so foggy just after the border crossing, we couldn’t see 50 ft in front of us. It was so scary. We had our flashers on for about 2 miles before things cleared up. Then the rest of the trip to Dawson City was great. We are in a Class B so the ferry ride was easy for us! BTW, we saw you in Whitehorse at the HiCountry RV Park a few days later but didn’t want be *those* people who disturb you. We know you work on the road to provide these great videos.
Awww that's kind! We love saying hi to people so if you see us again, feel free to say hi! I do have to say I really do appreciate the effort you took into thinking about what is good for us. That speaks highly of you. I only have one big rule when it comes to meeting people... don't knock on my door unless our RV is burning down. 😂 If we ever need to "introvert out" we just like being able to do that at the rig. But if we're out and about - people and personal connections matter. -J
Wanting a good night's sleep and some conveniences isn't getting "soft". Sometimes its an absolute necessity. My first year of boat life was on anchor and a mooring ball. I had to bring everything on and off the boat in a smaller boat. Once in a while, I'd pull into a marina for a night or two. No anchor alarm to keep an ear open for and the peace of mind being securely tied to a dock was priceless. Now, I'm tied to a dock and take the boat out for a night or two. Funny how things change after 4 years...lol.
If you put thin plastic cutting boards against the back of your freezer, it makes defrosting easier. The frost sticks the plastic. It's easy to just pull the plastic cutting board forward with all the built up ice and dump it in your sink or outside.
I'm apparently the only one on the planet that didn't think this hack would work all that well. 😂 Kalyn is pointing out everyone who makes this suggestion....because she made this suggestion while we were filming and I was like "nah....". 😂 -J
Man beautiful scenery and river, that top of the world shot driving through the clouds, epic 👍 Joe watch the road, loved it you guys so glad to have seen it with you all. Thanks 👍🇺🇸❤

Turn around and head back to Alaska. Fall is the best time to see Alaska. Kinda wish you would. Really enjoyed our meet up in Anchorage. Decided to stay in Alaska this winter and enjoy our grandson. Passing up the sugar beet harvest in Crookston (Eldred) also. The 12 hour overnight position had a
It looks very pretty up there! We had to get back to NY in order to spend time there before the snow flies and we don't like "booking it" for multiple days at a time so we needed to head out in August so we had plenty of time to make it across. 🤗 Enjoy the winter!! -J
Joe...please get a real jack and some stands. I saw you with the bottle jack and blocks of wood again. I love seeing you take Trinity along on hikes. My dogs live to go on the local trails. The drone footage was nice. I really need to prioritize getting a license, so I have an excuse to buy one.
There ya go! And you only need the License if you're getting a heavy drone or making money with it (but you probably know that already - just trying to reduce the number of excuses to NOT buy one) 🙂 Lots of tools on the shopping list. Have to prioritize cost, space, and weight. But yes, proper jack stands are a big safety help. I don't get too worried under the RV though since it's duel axel. With one tire off even if the jack were to fail the RV isn't going to come crashing all the way down on me unless there are so many failures elsewhere. -J
Love your channel. As for the potty bags...we have two little chihuahua mixes that will go on command. It's called Capture ". You have to pick a word you will say whenever Trinity actually goes poop. We picked "go potty" then added "hurry up" when they want to delay the potty action. Every time Trinity does the deed you say the word/s you picked several times with praise. Over time she will understand that the job is to go potty and you have a party at the time when she goes on command. Oh...our two littles also go "pee pee" on command. If they Can go they Will go. Very convenient when going inside or getting in the truck for a long trip. Good luck
Definitely train her to go on command. I’ve trained all my dogs to do that (go potty or go poop), and it’s fairly easy with larger dogs. It’s so awesome when there is bad weather or you are rushed for time. Absolutely worth your time.
@@phyllissmith2538 That's awesome. We have a relative who had kind-of trained their dog to do this....but so many times we were there we'd just here them shouting out the door "GO NUMBER 1!! GO NUMBER 1! NUMBER 1. NUM-BER 1! (dogs name) GO NUMBER 1" If I can get her to do it on one quiet command...I'll do it. 🙂 But gotta get her to come to me when called first. We're still getting there. 😁 -J
I had an option to take my bumper pull trailer on a similar ferry in New Brunswick this summer. Thankfully we rode it without the trailer the day prior - I think the transition from the ramp to the ferry itself was so sharp that I would have gotten hung up or broken part of the hitch equipment. We had the option to take a bridge just slightly downstream and of course we took it.
You should do northern Ontario on yourvway to New York. It is amazing. But really slow going. You can not rush on the road through Northern Ontario. The road is slow going and the sights and parks are amazing. I just did it in August with my husband and two teenagers in a mini van and a cargo bullet on top for tenting gear!!
We were considering going across Canada....but the fuel prices are higher by $2-$3 per gallon in some cases...so this time around we decided to drop into the lower 48 and do some fun content that's coming soon! -J
Looks like we'll have to put that on our bucket list for another westward trip. Didn't drop into the lower 48 on this one till Just west of North Dakota. -J
Have you ever considered an auxiliary tank for your truck? I put in a 46 gallon auxiliary in the bed of our truck and it has been great for long travel days and less stressful for having to worry about fuel.
I think I'd go with a bigger fuel tank (they make a 40 gallon aftermarket one) before going with the Aux because I like having the space for our extra water. -J
The advice I can give you, because I don't like picking up poop with my hands and carrying it on walks either, is the DogBuddy poop scooper (amazon) attached to the leash with a carabiner.
Unfortunately we are at the coldest setting and our fridge is already very close to not being safe for meats etc. so I can’t go one setting warmer and we don’t have a colder setting to go to.
In South America, in Lake Titicaca, there is the Straight of Tiquina, which is traversed by the main highway from La Paz to Copacabana in Bolivia, by a ferry crossing. This ferry crossing doesn't have any vessels that you would identify as ferries. There are dozens of privately operated barges, each which carries maybe ten cars max.... or a full-sized bus plus two cars. It's shocking to see buses being loaded onto these barges, and I left there wondering how many buses were lost at the bottom of that lake.
Awesome! Please don’t hate us….technically we are from the southern tier but we have discovered that if we say upstate people from the other 49 states translate that as “not New York city” which is our goal. 😂 -J
Joesph, you shouldn’t have been wary of the ferry it looked easy! Your Rv is older but it’s holding up very well considering its age. Very nice video it’s ashamed the Alaska trip is over but it was great.
I know the ferry can take semis…still feels super small and cramped though!!!!!! I pictured the rv slipping beneath the waves as the ferry capsized. 😱 -J
I see you have food inside of baskets in your refrigerator, which is a great idea. It helps you be able to put more in without it being slung all over the place,, but I would use vented baskets instead of solid. This way, the cold air can get through the baskets to the food that’s inside.
I don't know if you've changed makeup or you just gotten more sun but getting rid of those dark circles that used to show up under Caitlin's eyes is a definite plus she looks great
Something about Alaska is more intriguing to me than the lower 48. I think it is the nature like we have here in Alberta combined with rugged coast like BC.
Spruce and cedar tree's look so small in Alaska. Expected them to be so much larger looking. But I'm in Northern California Humboldt county among the mighty Redwoods so I guess all tree's just look tiny 😅😂 The color of that Water WOW Gorgeous !! Great video. Safe Travels!! 🌿💚🌲🙌
So, we visited the Ancient forest in Canada on our way through - it was very pretty....but....when I also couldn't help myself from comparing to the sequoias and redwoods 😂. When that's the bar......nothing lives up. lol -J
Oh I love the Top of the World Highway and then the gorgeous water on the hike you did with Trinity. Sorry Joe, no hints about doggie tricks re: pooping. I take my mini schnauzer on a short 1km walk and she has to pee at least twice and poop too! No idea why???! Loved seeing Trinity so happy on your hike
I live not far from upstate NY on the Canadian side, love to hear what the mountains are like (grades) going thru Montana and Wyoming as I plan to drive there next summer, thanks Btw love your youtube channel!
Thanks so much! Oh man... so hard to answer the grade question because it depends on the road and I don't have a good enough memory to remember each road we've taken through there. 😔 I will say I haven't hit a grade yet that we haven't been able to handle and some of the steepest, longest ones we've done weren't in those states as far as I can remember. We're a tiny bit further apart because we are technically headed to the "Southern tier" but when we say that no one from the other 49 states knows what we are talking about 😂. So we say "Upstate New York" because in our experience everyone outside of the state they hears "Not New York City." -J
@@OpenRoading Thanks for replying. Glad you had an amazing trip in Alaska without any major issues or got eaten alive by a grizzly lol. Can’t wait to see what’s next. Take care and be safe.
We stayed at the Yukon River Campground in West Dawson for a few days. Did a couple of day trips into Dawson before taking our 5th wheel across. We almost scraped the tail end on our trailer!😅
The drone footage of the highway, even with the localized fog, was gorgeous. How did you get the drone footage of you pulling onto the ferry? I would love to see a video of what you do to get your drone footage.
We are actually doing an "about our drone" video for our members video on Tuesday if you are interested. It's not the type of segment we'd be able to easily sneak into our normal content - so that's why we're putting it over there. As to the ferry specifically - all of the footage of driving on, and driving off - the drone was hovering in a single spot and Kalyn had the controller. Any "movement" during the loading and unloading was just me zooming and moving the frame around in my video editor when I put the video together. Then I just flew it around while we rode the ferry across before hovering it for the unload. Typically for driving shots, Kalyn drives and I fly the drone. In the US you can operate a drone from a moving vehicle provided that you aren't the one driving the vehicle and you are in a "sparsely populated area" (Thank you FAA for being so crystal clear with the rules so we know EXACTLY what is ok and not ok 😂) Canada is similar without the "sparsely populated" addition from what I could find. -J
@@OpenRoading Thank you for the detailed explanation. I really enjoy your drone footage. I think you have just enough to give us an overview but don't let it dominate your videos. Thanks again.

Loved the drone shots... I have the older Mavic 2 Pro, so while my wife is just enjoying a video, I'm analyzing the drone video parts, wondering if the battery will run out, if it's gonna hit a tree, if it's going to turn into a submarine.... 😂🤣😆
Submarine drone is my worst fear. 😂 -J
Beautiful footage this week. I especially loved the blue river.
It was soooo blue. -J
Your photography was amazing in this video.
Thanks you so much. It was a fun one to film! -J
I need Trinity to start carrying her own weight! or at least her own poop. lol -J
Welcome back to Canada!! Blessings from Calgary!! Love your channel -- so down to earth and a true blessing to those who watch
Thanks so much. Fine country you have here! -J
@@OpenRoading I understand being limited by schedules. I am glad that you managed to get the hike in!
Kalyn has been trying to sell me on this idea! -J
It’s probably the best RV tip I’ve gotten from someone else. It works great!
Yes! This!
@@lannycarpenter-yc1wd I’m going to have to try that. I’m stationary so it defrosts and then drips down the tube in back. Question:: my food cabinets get really hot. Is that ok for the canned food??
@@buggclaflin Kalyn is happy to see these comments....and show them to me... 😂 -J
@@buggclaflin Appreciate all of this. Thank you! -J
Joe so glad you have an awesome driving helper with you 😅

I’m hoping to actually work with an electrician in 2025 to re-do all the solar wiring in the battery area so maybe then we’ll upgrade something!

We had one of those!!!! And somehow we managed to break it within a couple of weeks! 😂 -J

Hands wash very easily. lol
Wow that river is gorgeous.
So New York for a bit and then on to Florida for the winter.

Good luck

I had an option to take my bumper pull trailer on a similar ferry in New Brunswick this summer. Thankfully we rode it without the trailer the day prior - I think the transition from the ramp to the ferry itself was so sharp that I would have gotten hung up or broken part of the hitch equipment.

I see you have food inside of baskets in your refrigerator, which is a great idea. It helps you be able to put more in without it being slung all over the place,, but I would use vented baskets instead of solid. This way, the cold air can get through the baskets to the food that’s inside.

She loves exploring so much! I laugh at the 💩 I think walking “inspires” her to vacate the bowels. 😂 -J
Still amazing
I live not far from upstate NY on the Canadian side, love to hear what the mountains are like (grades) going thru Montana and Wyoming as I plan to drive there next summer, thanks
Btw love your youtube channel!
Not sure how you pulled off the awesome drone footage, but it added a lot to the episode.
We stayed at the Yukon River Campground in West Dawson for a few days. Did a couple of day trips into Dawson before taking our 5th wheel across. We almost scraped the tail end on our trailer!😅
I "Think" our bike rack came out unscathed but I was surprised! -J
Beautiful dress ve guys!
Thanks! -J
Hey ❤Your Heading toward Maine-ish!! Yippee 🙌 safe travels.
Enjoyed as usual. But, no RV Ferries for me!
We've done one other ferry in Texas that wasn't so bad....but man...this one made me nervous even though it can handle semis. 😂 -J
BEAUTIFUL HAPPY ADVENTURING
Thank you! -J
24:53 Smart dog. She’s not taking any chances. Dogs are smart that way. Inherent danger 😂
She's especially good at this when seeing her own shadow or reflection. 😁 -J
18:04 This is an imposter Joseph! Where's the real Joseph????
😂 -J
@@juliebaird4156 I appreciate that - thank you! -J
Do you know if they use the old paddle box by fairy for anything like office. It would be a neat hotel, even on land. Safe trip
I don't believe it's operational in any capacity unfortunately. -J
Thank you for all of the videos! We loved following your journey to Alaska. My wife and I are planning to do a similar trip and we have a question. Would you say that the 15k is a good budget number for a similar trip there?
In a two weeks we're dropping a full recap of the trip going over what we'd do differently etc and we'll cover this topic as clearly as we can! -J
