Yes, and I have some Morricone vibes from the song as well. Not in a bad way. In some part there is a bit spaghetti western type of feel with mixture of Muse's of own thing.
Muse may have the best rhythm section in rock. Chris and Dom are phenomenal. They allow Matt to go nuts on his guitar however he wants and the song still stays rock solid. That is VERY difficult to do.
The only other band lkke them is Faith No More. Or should i say they are like Faith No More, in the sense that they are insane musicians and singers who can play and sing any type of music
Matthew Bellamy's father George Bellamy was a member of the band The Tornados. He played Rhythm guitar. They released a number called Telstar back in 1962. It was so ahead of time back then. If you listen to it you will probably see where Muse got the inspiration to Knights of Cydonia
🎉🎉🎉 I saw muse 1st time the drones tour in Birmingham uk wow wow wow just epic then I went to see um at the 02 arena London UK 1st October 2023 🎉🎉🎉just mind blowing the show gig was out of this world the stage set up was epic awesome amazing band luv um they play live is 🎉🎉🎉wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow I'm still on a high 😮😮😮 just out of this world that stage changed 4 times I can't get over it 🎉🎉🎉
the song was actually meant to be a tribute to George, the father of Matthew Bellamy, guitarist and vocalist extraordinaire, who was the rhythm guitarist and vocalist for the band 'the Tornados', and their song 'Telstar'. Darn fine tribute, yeah?
And the guitar is a tribute to his dad who played rhythm guitar in a 60s band 'the tornados', he made a lot of use of the tremolo. Listen to the tornados track 'Telstar' and you'll hear the similarities.
I've always wondered how bands rehearse for the show in a massive stadium, do they play through their set at full volume at the actual venue to test levels and acoustics? If so, do people nearby outside the stadium hear the music and get a concert preview? I guess they only need to test a couple of bits from a few songs.
*What have MUSE and MetallicA in common? Since the 80s MetallicA let play a recording of Ennio Morricone's "The Ecstasy Of Gold", taken from the Morricone composed original score of "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly" before their performances and since 2008 MUSE play live as the intro of "Knights Of Cydonia" a part of Ennio Morricone's "Man with a Harmonica", which is taken from the Morricone composed original score of "Once Upon A Time In The West".* 🎵🔥🔥🔥🎸🥁📢🔥🔥🔥🎵🎭🎵💿📀🎬🎼🎹🍀🤘😈🤘🔥🔥
@@jhamilton1007 There are a few clips of Metallica reacting to Muse live, beside/behind the stage in Big Day Out in early 2000s. Kirk is also known to like Muse's Absolution album.
2 years late to this but no, Sunburn was not the first song they released. It wasn't even the first single from Showbiz. Officially their first released songs were Cave, Escape, Coma and Overdue from their 1998 EP.
this whole concert is epic - watched it a hunnner times :) SIBISIA - undisputed kings of stadium anthems :) is that a little nod to Stevie Wonder at the end, always make me sing Higher Ground. rock out!!
I don’t think I’ve heard of a harmonica player…. But definitely artists that use the harmonica in sections or in parts of their songs… look at Travis Scott’s “STOP TRYING TO BE GOD” at the end he has Stevie Wonder through out it
This version is good but I prefer Glastonbury 2010 it closed the set and I became a overnight Muse fan after only knowing a few songs and the crowd was amazing
I live just down the road from there home town it’s crazy 3 mates from a tiny little seaside town became one of ..if not the biggest band in the world.. my mate twenty years ago punched the now lead singer in the nose for being a knob to his girl😂
the intro is a tribute to the great composer Ennio Morricone in the movie Once upon a time in the West the song is called, Man with a harmonica
Yes, and I have some Morricone vibes from the song as well. Not in a bad way. In some part there is a bit spaghetti western type of feel with mixture of Muse's of own thing.
Charles Bronson in his prime in that movie =)
Yeah, doing a Spaghetti Western tribute in front of a stadium full of Italians was awesome synergy!
Inside the dusters there were 3 bullets....
The best vocalist, best guitarist, best bassist, & best drummer are in one team
Matt Bellamy is a musical genius.
🙏🎸👏👍💖
And still the best live band on the planet.
Muse may have the best rhythm section in rock. Chris and Dom are phenomenal.
They allow Matt to go nuts on his guitar however he wants and the song still stays rock solid. That is VERY difficult to do.
*If you ask me MUSE is the BEST live act for stadium Rock nowadays. And one of the best live acts in general.*
🎵🔥🔥🔥🎸🥁📢🔥🔥🔥🎵😈
I totally agree with you. Hated I couldn't get time off when they preformed near me.
The only other band lkke them is Faith No More. Or should i say they are like Faith No More, in the sense that they are insane musicians and singers who can play and sing any type of music
On a par with rammstein easily the best 2 live bands
Saw them at a small venue in Chicago..blew my mind. They sound better live than on the albums.. how does that even work🤯🤯
Let me introduce you to Nightwish
You should do more reactions to their rome gig. Madness, hysteria are brilliant to watch

'Man with the Harmonica' by Ennio Morricone... from 'Once upon a time in the west'
The beauty of muse is the music style changes so often everyone can have a song they like
Muse are epic.....I remember playing this song on guitar hero 🤘
Been waiting so long for yas to do this song, love it especially live :) great reaction guys :) can't wait for more muse :)
Finally! This gig is so amazing
My daughter saw Muse in a small club in Plymouth in the mid nineties very early in their career,
🎉🎉🎉 I saw muse 1st time the drones tour in Birmingham uk wow wow wow just epic then I went to see um at the 02 arena London UK 1st October 2023 🎉🎉🎉just mind blowing the show gig was out of this world the stage set up was epic awesome amazing band luv um they play live is 🎉🎉🎉wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow I'm still on a high 😮😮😮 just out of this world that stage changed 4 times I can't get over it 🎉🎉🎉
OMG phenomenal excellent Muse grandiose j'ai pas les mots tellement c'est des génies tout est parfait merci à vous les adorables reacts love 🙏👍👏😍💖
From this same live show?
Madness, Hysteria, Panic Station, Plug in Baby & Animals were all top notch performances.
And they are in Rome, which is where Ennio Morricone was from, And where he recorded all the music for the westerns
This is the song that put them on my radar... thank you Guitar Hero 3 for introducing me to Muse!
Yes ! Great live song. Seen them live a few weeks ago on London !
Same, did you go on the 9th or 10th?
@@johnsmith-cz7dc 9th !
It was a great night wasn’t it!
@@clarecliffe4776 yeah wasn't expecting the gallery to be played . Loved the show
I was there on thr 9th too! The Gallery was such a special thing to hear them play! What an amazing night it was!
That Part of the World , Europe and specifically England for contemporary stuff, has produced many bands and many actors globally famous
You also have to see the OFFICIAL VIDEO of this Song !!!
the song was actually meant to be a tribute to George, the father of Matthew Bellamy, guitarist and vocalist extraordinaire, who was the rhythm guitarist and vocalist for the band 'the Tornados', and their song 'Telstar'. Darn fine tribute, yeah?
3 people, one power 💪💪💪❤️

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard has tons of harmonica in their music.
You both looking good! Thank you for reacting to this, I don’t know why but this song always makes me feel a bit emotional!
Ennio Morricone : Once upon the Time in the West/The Man with the Harmonica......HAIL TO THE GREATEST MOVIE COMPOSER EVER !!!!!
that's i call a live performance. the best of all time for me
Watch Muse at Glastonbury with the song Globalist. Shows many facets of their talent. Incredible live performance
Love love love this cowboy song ❤🎶
Best rock band on Earth
Show me a live dvd (yes, besides Rammstein ;) ) that comes close to Muse gigs. I haven't seen any yet - they are fire! The crowd in Rome, da fuq? 🔥
Nightwish: the 2012 Wacken gig.
So good to see you react again to Muse!

2 great bands paying homage. I wouldn't be surprised if both Muse and metallica are mutual fans of each other

A brilliant harmonica song is louisa by tue teskey brothers
Devon's finest
This intro with the Music from the Western Movie (by Ennio Morricone) ... since 2014 now, to opening live !!!
After the harmonica part Matt shouts out "Morricone"
You guys should react to the very first song they released called Sunburn.
2 years late to this but no, Sunburn was not the first song they released. It wasn't even the first single from Showbiz. Officially their first released songs were Cave, Escape, Coma and Overdue from their 1998 EP.

The guitar speaks, and I will meet you on Mars.
I have just smth to say:thank to God I was there
Muse - Pressure :)
Red pants and people on fire 🔥💯🤩
Pat Metheny - Always and Forever : Toots Thielemans on harmonica to make you CRY.
MUSE at their peak!!
listen recess, it's just perfect
Muse my heroes. They are so good
The Official Video reminds me of the kind of campy movies Bruce Campbell (Army of Darkness) would be in. That's a compliment BTW.
That build up and release makes me wanna mosh
Like this but the one at Wembley is 🔥🔥🔥
Matt Bellamy channelling Telstar. It's genetic.
I don’t think I’ve heard of a harmonica player…. But definitely artists that use the harmonica in sections or in parts of their songs… look at Travis Scott’s “STOP TRYING TO BE GOD” at the end he has Stevie Wonder through out it
watch muse at reading 2011 full show for the best crowd experience
You guys have to see the band 'blues traveler', the lead vocal is a master on harmônica.
You never really got into the meaning of the song. The meaning is more important than the song itself. Words are bulletproof.
can you guys react to death grips? Bottomless pit or the money store album?
😱🔥
Muse are a very political group and their lyrics quite often show that
CAN YOU GUYS REACT TO TEAM SLEEP? It’s a chino Moreno side project with the drummer from hella!
Jimmy Darmody?
This version is good but I prefer Glastonbury 2010 it closed the set and I became a overnight Muse fan after only knowing a few songs and the crowd was amazing
