As a former discus thrower from the mid 60's (186' high school as a junior, 185' college, 242' jav.), I am very impressed by the videos you have produced on discus throwing and training. In my day, weight training and conditioning were really in their infancy compared to the sophisticated training regimens of today. Back then, all we did were benches, snap presses, cleans, flys, squats, situps and ran stadium steps!! In the 60's, the only films we had to study were crude images of Fortune Gordien, Al Oerter and Jay Sylvester (who I competed against when he broke the world record at Modesto along with Rink Babka, Jon Cole and John Powell) without the excellent narrative you provide in your videos. I particularly like your discussion of the proper positioning of the "trailing leg" in using it to propel oneself across the circle. Back in the day, coaches advocated copying Sylvester's 'hop' across the circle (which I could never get right, in part because I didn't understand what was generating the 'hop'). Of course, what I really should've been concentrating on instead was, as you suggest, the proper positioning of the trailing leg. Again, excellent videos that any young aspiring discus thrower should study. Well done!
Good job of putting out the information succinctly. Great information in a short period of time. Exactly what I look for in an instructional video. Thank you.
Thank you for making this video! I'm a Japanese university student who practices discus throw. I have no professor who teaches me discus throw, but this video amply helped my understanding! Please go on posting new movies about discus throw.
Thank you for this. Videos like this are a great resource for people like me. My son is a freshman in HS & wants to throw shot & discus this year. I'm the defacto "coach" since we live in a very rural area. I really appreciate you making things simple to understand & apply in practice.
I want to do more than smash the like button. I hope this helps me because when watching other videos I’ve tried things there and they have not helped that much. Thank you!

twr74 no problem, I love to help. Good luck to your son and I’m glad it came across as simple. Quite difficult to break the throw down.

The best thrower in the 2019 season (Stahl) was throwing with a 67 m rated nelco discus. I think nobody will use that Ultra spin version;
Going to start throwing today! 👍
