In this episode we explore the underground mines on both the French and German sides of the Butte de Vauquois in Eastern France, not far from Verdun.

Our visit of the tunnels was for sure the highlight of our trip! Can’t imagine living in those tunnels for months/years, not seeing daylight.
I imagine the contents of all the bottles in the tunnel helped out in that regard

Be the change you wanna see, if you are interested in WW1 and the battlefields in Serbia try to organize visits, talk about it to the mayors of towns affected by the conflict, create an association to renovate and excavate whats left of the battlefield and make they visitable ! If no one ever dared to ask for the reopening of Vauquois it would still be just a hill with nothing to visit
@@spicy5630 in serbia ww1 is pretty much bottom of iceberg,overshadowed by historic events that took place afterwards,no one talks about it
