What's the range on a tank?

From 30-50 mph the average fuel burn is 2 mpg. With 200g of fuel on board gives you a range of about 400miles.

I read someone’s question on one of your other videos where the person asked your preference between a Costa 264 and a SeaCat 260 and your answer was “SeaCat 💯”. One notable difference between the two boats is the Costa’s 10’ beam vs the SeaCat’s 8.5’ beam. After watching your reaction during your sea trial, have you changed your opinion? Both are great boats. As a fellow Minnesotan who desires to move to Florida in 5-7 years, both boats would serve me well with many opportunities for fishing given the conditions. My only hesitation about either is the lack of a head. I definitely see the advantages of power catamarans and appreciate your commitment to provide videos containing valuable real world information regarding them. Thanks for your hard work and for your service!🇺🇸

They both have small heads in center consoles. I would go with the Costa for sure. Where in Minnesota are your from. Thanks for watching!

@@CaptPeterson thanks for your reply and honest answer. Originally born and raised “prairie billy” from SW Minnesota in the heart of pheasant country near Little House on the Prairie land. Currently live NW of the metro about 45 minutes. Don’t know why water is a calling for me, no lakes or hockey for 60 miles any direction (driest part of the state). Beaches and open water have always captured my heart along with fishing for whatever swims beneath the surface.

Yes that was me asking about the two boats. The Seacat never shows any video of it in rough seas and never shows top speed. Me if I had the money right now I would get the Costa 264 hc hands down. If you a boat manufacturer and you want to sell boats take them out in rough seas and show how it performs that's how it's done. Look at Freeman and Invincible and Seahunt they take there boats out in the roughest seas and there boats are selling like hot cakes.

@@paulmelanson3047 I’m also interested in what the new Tag 300 will be like. Capt Peterson already did a great video on the new Aquila Molokai 28 and the Invincible 33. With the way boat prices are going, I’ll be priced out of the market for any of them by the time I’m ready to purchase. My biggest issue is whatever boat I end up with will have to have a decent head on it for the Mrs. Have plenty of plans to use the boat for cruising, touring the coast, shelling excursions along with fishing. We both love being on the water and it just isn’t fair to her if there’s no place for her to relieve herself in a comfortable manner. Both of us will be in our 60’s by then and crawling into a short skinny space just won’t cut it. Larger cats have the space but are becoming far too cost prohibitive. If money were no object, I’d order a Freeman 34, Invincible 33, Hammercat 35 or Tag 360. All of them are great boats and have unique attributes. However, the Costa 264 HC is more within reach and I love the performance and ability to fish offshore or in the back bays. Just wish there was some way to configure a usable head on them. Any decent monohull that’s 26’ has a comfortable head and is far easier to obtain (current supplies notwithstanding) than the catamarans and less cost. Decisions, decisions, decisions, hmmmmm.
