This is the best look at sylvaneth for aos 4. I just got back into the hobby and decided to go for sylvaneth because the lore and minis are so cool. Most of the sylvaneth info at least on youtube is all outdated.
@@markruffalo8761 Thanks, I appreciate that! When 4th edition launched, almost no one was talking about Sylvaneth, so I took it upon myself. I'm more interested in the painting and collecting, but it's fun to talk about the gameplay as well. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Thanks for watching! Just to clarify, I didn't come up with this list- I've seen a lot of people using it to great success by looking up tournament results. For the Awakened Wyldwoods, unless you're a playing in a tournament that requires official GW models, you can use carboard cutouts of the footprint, which you should be able to print from the internet. In many cases, those are more convenient for the table anyways since it's easier to fit models in without the branches getting in the way. I think the Gossamid archers would be more useful!
I always recommend that you buy the models you want as a collection and to paint! The "Meta List" was untouched by the updates, so those units are still great options. My latest video covers the changes more in-depth, but I really feel like mostly everything is worth experimenting with. If you want to play it safe, I would wait a few weeks. Someone in the community might discover a list that is equal to or better than the Meta List and we will see it in tournament results.
im kinda new with the army and game as well, but why is morbid conjuration so op? its bcos of the size? and how you can create walls while you shoot? or can you give me an example of how to use them, i think im doing something wrong xd
I made a video on the different manifestation lores and how Sylvaneth can use them. Other Manifestation Lores are useful, but a little more niche. The TL;DR on Morbid Conjuration is that it 4 manifestations, as opposed to the usual 3, and every one of them is pretty universally useful, whereas other Manifestation Lores usually only have 1-2 decent manifestations that are more situational. Purple Sun in particular is very tough to deal with and the Shackles can really mess up your opponent's movement. And yeah, the huge base on the Suffocating Gravetide is also very useful for move-blocking.
@@gammafighter omg I have to check that video asap hehehe thx for your answer :3, love your content, btw are you going to make a video with the new changes? I think our drop on points and the changes of getting another honour guard unit can be rly op with sylv hehehe
@alejandrosandoval4066 Definitely! I would have loved to make a video yesterday, but I had plans all day. I may have time tonight or tomorrow. I'm definitely thinking about it!
Just got my hands on a big lot of sylvaneth, wanted to go out of combat armies,(traded my nh for it, still have obr). Even though i have Alarielle, would like to try out maybe warsong revenant. Enjoyed the vid, informative and good. Would like to see something with more on the table, having played obr with an avarage of 5-6 units 😉 like is kav viable in your opinion?
Alarielle and Warsong Revenant can work together, but you'll need to drop either Belthanos or Durthu. Alarielle can buff her casting and you can give Warsong the Spellsinger heroic trait to get +1 to cast as well, bringing you to 5 casts, all at +1. That can be really scary and works great with Morbid Conjuration! If you're talking about the bugriders, just looking at the statistics, they are just OK. Their good movement can make up for the lack of Belthanos. While Alarielle and Durthu act as anvils, you could try running bugriders as hammers. I haven't seen them get used a ton in competitive play, but they seem like a reasonable choice.
While that is a valid point, that's going to be true in any Sylvaneth list to some extent. We're a very elite faction, plus we have the Awakened Wyldwoods to consider. It's an important lesson to learn, so it's good to try to learn it early.

Love the vid, just finished painting my tree folk and looking forward to trying em out.
Thanks for watching! May the bodies of your enemies fall like leaves before you and nourish the soil at your roots!
Great content! Thanks for making this video. Very informative and I loved the one piece joke slipped in there lol
Thanks! Always appreciate the feedback! Glad you enjoyed!
Been repping the trees in the NE area for the last few months. Been a big fan of them in the current meta
They are great on the table and they look so good too!
We will see if the list can be played after Wednesday December 18th. I feel the Kurnoth +10 or +20. Because they are in every List.
Thankfully no hit to the Kurnoths! They just enabled other playstyles, but I think this one will still be prominent.
I have everything from Your list, exept the faction Terrain and the Gossamid Archer what schould i buy First ?

Hello, thank you for the video, it's interesting. After the last changes of unit cost, can you suggest me to buy other models?

I'm sure you can do the larger hero units justice. At worse, you can paint strip and then start again. 😊
Or buy another! XD

First holy shit this never happens... Here one for the algorythme
I would not reccomend this list to begginers. It is really tricky list with few units where one wrong move lose you a game.
