@@shinji2oo4 I know you mean a lot of the cast can do a lot of damage with a low forward drive rush into full combo but that's not what I was talking about. What I was talking about the rest of the cast definitely cannot do. Off the top of my head I can only name AKI, JP, Honda, Kim, and maybe Manon who can do a drive rush crouch mk and can confirm of it while still keeping pressure if it's blocked and Kim/Manon probably do poop damage off them. The shotos and some other characters do drive rush low confirms with cr short which are still minus on block and only real pressure followup is the next chained light, plus the damage is hyper scaled because of the low, light starter. Guile/Ryu/and maybe Akuma can confirm off drive rush cr mk into some slightly bigger damage (still less than AKI) but they're also negative on block and there's probably others I missed like that.

@jooper2861 i mean, that's the whole thing with balancing. Shotos and most of the rest of the cast is able to continue their pressure by catching people walking back with c.mk xx Drive rush.
i'd argue that the drive rush cancel after a cr.mk is more egregious than a drive rush c.mk, simply from the fact that you can actually catch people walking back at max distance of your cr.mk; vs what Aki etc can do at max range.. which is literally nothing.
As i said - it's literally horses for courses... to do ~50% - that combo needed to use the entire drive gauge and lvl 3...
AKI was already a very unique character.. now she looks top tier and as everyone finds new tech she’s only gonna get better
Punk should do a collab with either Broski or Hikaru for AKI. Their character knowledge might just break the meta if put together

Punk and Wong are the two FG gods I respect the most. They can play large parts of the roster in multiple games to the highest level unlike most other pros. Their understanding of the genre is insane.

Punk's AKI is in my MR range, and I still drop all her new routes like its hot. We got the same numbers. But we ain't the same. Bruh said, "Oh so she should be able to do something like this?" and then proceeded to not just do something like that in the matches, but exactly that, and more. GODDAMNIT I DONT WANNA LAB! AAH... fuckin goin into training mode.

Givin her dive move full projectile invulnerability was already enough to make this character crazy good and then they gave her 10 other huge buffs on top of that. Never had this happen to my main before, I take back everything bad I've ever said about "patch culture" 😂
Top season 2 characters most buffed:
1- Ryu.
2- Aki.
3- Zangief.
4- Honda (not very sure about this one).
I guess Dhalsim didn’t get any buffs. Maybe he did Hmh.
Aki is way buffed than Ryu. You can do so many combos with her that not possible previously.
Honda is not top 4 buffed lol...he received nerfs with his buffs, and his buffs weren't even big. Only real buffs were 5MP distance and TC cancellable

@@HiResDez I'm 1700mr honda and every Honda I've seen talking about it above 1900mr has said it is mediocre. He's in the same position as before, if not slightly worse because other characters received far more significant buffs.

Cammy's Spin Knuckle is a damn joke now to do on reaction, especially against Akuma's faster fireballs. Almost no purpose unless you have insane reactions and see the fireball coming in slow motion.

No, not really. I main her and i can tell you She aint plus on block like Cammy if she miss it. Aki die if opponent block her dive. these 2 moves has different purpose.
Aki dive suppose to punish those who fire it more than 1-2 times. it suppose to threaten ppl from firing fireball.
Cammy spinning knuckle is not for punishing fireball. it's for you to get in. it does not suppose to delete fireball. When is the last time you mash against Cammy when she lands spinning knuckle on block.
All my friend are on master and they play zoners and if you count my Aki as zoners. Lemme tell you, cammy is gonna be fine, her spinninc knuckle aint dead

...Cammy Spin Knuckle is LITERALLY for getting through projectiles. It's not to get in. Try that out and you get jabbed into big CH combo or DIed on reaction every time.
@@Un1234l No, look deeper into core function and property of those move.
For Aki, you can’t shoot that move and be safe if it is block you eating the full combo. Its a gamble hard reading move also you could bait it. It’s good at countering spammers but on its own it’s only there to stop opponents from spamming on her. As long as you use fireball wisely you never getting hit by that move it has more than DI start up.
for Cammy, you could SEND IT and not getting punish for anything unless you are being predictable. Literally anything as long as it is on block. It’s for you to be plus on their guard. If you get check that means you are being predictable.
ITS TO GET YOU IN not to land a hit or punish fireball cuz they pressing it. The purpose of this move is to get you to get through fireball and be plus on block not to get free hit cuz someone fire a fireball.
Also this move cannot be counter on reaction, Di does not work against it. Cammy recovers in time to DI back if opponent does it on reaction. Jab check happens because Cammy players are getting toooooo predictable.
I played cammy and i went holy gawd “nerfed version is still stupid, this gets me a FREE IN!! Not many character in this game gets a free LET ME IN the move dude, appreciate her stuff.
If you use spin knuckles wisely it’s still a strong ass move. Not only it gets you in where you could run your gameplan where you are at your best but also get you a free reset if you condition your opponent.

Dhalsim is my strongest character. I started using AKI about 3 months ago the ago. She definitely looks stronger. I hope that Punk does Dhalsim. I’ve been looking for Dhalsim buffs for s2.

I"ll believe the "insert season 2 buffed character here" hype once any of those characters wins a major or at least makes top 8 consistently.
Until then, i'll keep on saying that the season 2 balance patch was very conservative at best, and brings zero changes to the meta at worst.
