    What a boring vidio ,can't remember where his pegs are 🤪 you want a 18v inpack gun to drive the threaded pegs in and hold the head when driving it in

    Love it Graham seconds in and I’m laughing “he’s run out of content, he’s reviewing awning pegs” to be fair good info you do need different types.

    love the vids, agree pegs are so important..now on our 3rd type as the ones usually supplied are cr@p..remember you can't please em all, but you do have the option to block people.

    Going to pick up my first caravan in a couple of days so this was helpful. BTW I believe the hammer you refered to is a "claw" hammer. Going to have a look at your website now. God bless

    Great topic Graham. We have the normal steel hard standing pegs which have been good, I did get some of the drill screw in ones but the plastic bit at the end gets in the way when putting them in the ground. May try them again sometime this year. I turned voice activation off on the GoPro as it kept switching off! Cheers Martin

    Thanks graham, I am now reassured with my choice of pegs! They may seem like a trivial topic, but having to continuously re-peg your awning will definitely affect your caravanning experience..

    Great video Graham 👍 We had the same problem with our Rollaway at Brighton at Christmas time when we was there. The rollaway ended up over the other side of the van. will pop over to your amerzon page and have a look around . Cheers Paul and Sarah

    Graham we purchased Kampa Rock Pegs, even they fold with ease on hard standings, perhaps your video should show you doing the job. That would be interesting.

    We took an awning to the Thetford site, and ended up giving up with the pegs. I bent and buried no end of them. I had extra strong stainless still pegs and a huge club hammer and still no joy. I guess Brighton is just like the Thetford site. The next trip we'll take an extra long masonry bit to use with the 18v hammer action drill. 🤣

    Nice one Graham a good topic all v caraveners come across it would be great to have a awning that requires no pegs at all now that would b something to talk about I think we all got a screw lose some where cheers kev

    That's good content Graham, don't knock it! Those thin wire tent types do have an irritating habit of twisting like you said. Pain in the....... 😊 Thanks for sharing. Mart & Jo

    Graham your content never surprise me and the omission of critical information on the screw in pegs when using your torque wrench what is the Newton-metres measurement
    Torque is a measure of the force that can cause an object to rotate about an axis. Just as force is what causes an object to accelerate in linear kinematics, torque is what causes an object to acquire angular acceleration. Ha Ha 👍😂 Dave

    • @CaravanVlogger
      @CaravanVlogger  4 роки тому

      Thanks for watching Dave. Wow that's quite an omission. :-) It's as if I picked up some random awning pegs and just made up a load of stuff off the top of my head :-) Damn, that's another trade secret exposed. hahaha Graham

    Hi Graham I bought the screw in ones but always seen to get the top tangled in the guy. Maybe if I stand on one leg it might work😂. Great Idea for a video. Thanks Phil🙂👍

      Thanks for watching Phil. Yes I know what you mean. I mix it up a bit depending how I feel. I do sometimes like smashing the peg in with a mallet! Graham

    I find recognising the opportunity to let a bit of stress out a much underrated tool, that and a heavy lump hammer, haven’t been defeated by a handstanding yet..... rather taken by those yellow sand pegs - France only purchase?

    • @CaravanVlogger
      @CaravanVlogger  4 роки тому

      Thanks for watching Becky. Ah yes, they're very niche awning pegs, French sand ONLY. :-) They're Fiamma one's, I bought specifically for the canopy, they're really very good. I like screw in ones because they're easier to get out. I do often injure my back pulling the things out. I take your point about tapping the peg to loosen it and have done that myself. However, I can't be trusted and end up bending the peg as I'm impatient haha. Graham

    Hmmm, I’ve not screwy ones, may have to give this some serious thought, or I would if I was planning on using an awning... 🥴 🤷🏼‍♂️
    We are going to see how we get on with our Fiamma Canopy and, possibly, the Quest tent thingy you so hilariously demonstrated for your fanbase... 👏🏻😜
    Take care and be safe Graham, cheers, Rog... 👍🏻 😉 🐍

    • @CaravanVlogger
      @CaravanVlogger  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks for watching Rog. That was a serious attempt on putting the Quest thing up, I’d just forgotten how to do it. 😂😂🤔Anyway if I’d don’t it right first time, no one would believe me 😂 Graham

    • @Venomator.
      @Venomator. 4 роки тому

      Caravan Vlogger I realised that, honestly I did... 🤷🏼‍♂️ If you had seen me trying first time out it was almost a carbon copy of your vlog, seriously... 🤪😂 But, I am grateful for the suggestion as the Quest is a great bit of kit we have already put to good use (in the garden, not its intended use!)... 🤔🙄

    I got fed up buying pegs that just weren't up to the job made my own pegs from (20 x 20 x 3)mm angle iron cost about £8/metre and I get 5 stakes out of 1 metre. A little work with an angle grinder and hacksaw and hey presto a seriously heavy duty peg that will work in hard and soft ground.

    They do a fork hammer for pulling out pegs, that's useful I can use it for eating my chips whilst camping. wont bother taking my claw hammer to save space ;-)

    My first comment on your vlog. Pegs are quite simply an essential item and an excellent topic to discuss. Research is essential before attending the site you visit. Limestone surface is more dense and often set like concrete after while which is why it’s always used for car parks.
    I’ve used heavy duty screw type all singing all dancing ones “ScrewType” useless.... Bought the “RockPegs” + 2lb lump hammer good whack, sorted........
    My only small gripe on your vlog is the awful jingle ... it makes me cringe lol ...

    • @CaravanVlogger
      @CaravanVlogger  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks for watching and for the info. I think it’s good to have a range of pegs as there’s not really a “one size fits all”. Ah haha if your only real complaint was the jingle - that’s good! It’s just meant to be a bit of fun taking the pee out of myself really. Graham
