Thank you! Yes I totally agree the drone makes a huge difference. No other way to see the entire landscape from the ground. Also it is super fun to fly the drone from the passenger seat while my wife is driving. Like a video game, but with a bit of stress knowing if I crash its an expensive mistake haha.
Thank you so much!! Really appreciate you watching and giving feedback. These videos take a lot of time to edit so it is great to hear you enjoyed it :)
Words don’t describe how much I’m inspired by your channel. Know that it takes a ton of work putting together these videos and just wanna say that you do am incredible job. Kudos bro😃✌🏽
Thank you so much man! Appreciate you following along and so glad you are enjoying the videos. It definitely does take a lot of time to record & edit, and we are learning as we go :)
Thank you!! The challenge is finding areas that are not too crowded these days. Fortunately we have a TON of options within a few hours driving distance from the Bay.
Nice. I’m wondering if we can take our hybrid XLE AWD in these roads. Do you know if the stock wheel/tire setup would be fine? Or do we need an off road specific spec?
Most of the roads in this area are passable with AWD and stock tires. There are not really any sharp rocks or anything to worry about other than some rutted areas, and some slightly sandy/loose areas. If you are careful it should be no problem.
Hey, the outlets in the back of the RAV are only on when the ignition is on, so you need a battery pack to power the fridge when the car is off. We use a Dometic PLB40 that can keep the fridge on for about 2 days without any other input. We do also use a solar panel to supplement the battery, and most days we can fully recharge the battery off solar. Here is some additional info: ua-cam.com/video/LGMye5gm9YU/v-deo.html
We use a combination of things: Gaia GPS to find public land and forest roads, then Google Maps to zoom in on those roads & search for campsite areas. I definitely spend too much time looking at maps when preparing for a trip.
@@idkwhtimduin This campsite is not an official campsite, it is part of the public land where dispersed camping is allowed (as long as you follow the rules). Currently there are a lot of road closures in the area due to fires last year, so these roads are closed right now.
Stunning scenery and your drone work is impeccable. Not sure you’d keep my attention without it, or at least adds to your videos immensely.

Another great video man. Love seeing all these off-road accessible spots near-ish to the Bay Area.

Is your rav color Lunar Rock? sorry if you have mentioned it before!
Yup! It is full lunar rock (no white roof, which is a common option for lunar rock models). I definitely love the color.
Is the AC plug in the back of the rav4 always on?
How do you make sure your fridge always have enough power?

@@LunarLanderXplor Good to know!!! Really appreciate the info!
How do you find places to go explore and camp?

@@LunarLanderXplor Thank you!
@@LunarLanderXplor was this off road trail campsite at big sur open as first come first serve or through reservations?

What's the road called where you drove and camped on?
