Graphics are great in LoS 2! I mean fog, smoke, flames etc are one of the best looking in any game imo. That engine had great potential. Everything is fluid and sharp.
I LOVE Los 1. First time playing it reminds me of the first time I saw/played Castlevania IV. I was happy that they finally told us how Dracula became Dracula. So many amazing settings/backdrops. I enjoyed LoS 2, and I can see and appreciate the direction they took the story. While the modern settings were my least favorite, I get why they were there. As someone who feel in love with Castlevania 1 on the NES, I've always been a fan of the series, and LoS 1 is one of my favorites in the Castlevania history. Right up there with Castlevania IV. I respect the passion and hard work Mercury Steam put into redoing this Classic series.
We need a new AAA 3D Castlevania so bad :( I want to explore Wallachia freely and take up quests and hunt monsters kinda like in The Witcher, maybe they could do some sort of Nemesis System with vampires, imagine all that possibilities...
I absolutely loved the first game... and the second released at a point in my life i never ended up playing it... I don't know what happened... I remember it being announced, i remember anticipating it... then it fell off my radar and i'm pissed i can't play it now lol...
@@EliFlexxinn yea, I didn't realize until after, that Sony allowed for the download of PS Now titles as well... Something they hadn't tried when started the PS Now trial... but no it doesn't matter which console... I've actually gotten to it since. Thanks for the knowledge! 🙏🏽
IMO if Konami should have kept the protagonist Gabriel's look same(face, hairstyle) but change only eye colour green/red, and Black/Dark Brotherhood Costume and Dual Dark Gauntlet for Chaos Claws, Then it would be the best game of all time. In other hand LOS 1 also should have LOS 2 gameplay mechanism eg.manual camera control so that we could enjoy the sceneries, that would also be great. Both are good games but Those are the cons. I wish they re-release these games with these mod/DLC I mentioned above.
I like the fixed camera of the first one. It feels as if we look through the eyes of Zobek who most of the time is following Gabriel in secret and “guiding” him towards his fate. Zobek is also narrating the book/story.
@@Judge_Magister agreed, but sometimes giant spiders,wargs/wrags, greater lycanthropes, warthogs go outside of camera views and attacks unblockable hits and break the focus, and thats very annoying thats why CLOS 2 camera control should be there also in options in CLOS 1.
I have played them both, 1st one is good but not a perfect game. 2nd one has a darker theme that suits the story, but it doesn't need the modern-day setting to support its vampire video game. But I appreciate Konami's work here nonetheless, actually took some inspiration from this game series when ran my Curse of Strad campaign. Ironically Gabriel Belmoth is the reason why Dracula is my personal favorite character in the Netflix series in Castlevania.
Well Dracula is an all around stronger version of Gabriel. The only thing Gabriel has going in his favor is the combat cross but Dracula has already stated before that the combat cross holds no power over him. Moreover when Dracula fights Victor Belmont in Lords of Shadow 2 Victor uses a Chaos Crystal as a last resort to try and defeat Dracula (the purple crystal with the naked lady demon inside that was your strongest weapon in lords of shadow 1) and Dracula defeats it with ease. Basically Dracula can tank and destroy the strongest thing Gabriel (his younger self) can throw at him.
As a Huge Castlevania fan since the original on NES, this was a really good question. Very interesting to discuss. I love how they did him in both games but he is way more ruthless and bad ass in LoS 2, while still keeping his cool demeanor. But this is a great question because one thing I love about him in both games is that he never gives up in a fight.

I love both but the first game is just such an epic sweeping Medieval adventure.
That is a really good comparison between the two Castlevania Lord of Shadows series. Excellent video on showing both games off.
Castlevania lords of shadow is a legendary and epic game, lords of shadow 2 is darker
Hoping that there would a 3rd installment of this franchise, but sad to say, Lord's of Shadow 2 is the last.
Don't forget LOS mirror of fate
And don't forger revelations "DLC" Too
@@ericadajardelosreyes6805 Lords of Shadow 2 was the Third and last
It seems darker bcz Dracula can't come outside during daytime but Gabriel can.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
this video put a smile on my face the whole time cause LOS2 was a special game to me , Thank you for the upload
I really missed those cyclone boots in LOS 2 when Dracula can only sprint two steps.
Ok i know now.
Castilevania 1 is mediaval.
And sequel to be vampire and dark stuff.
Sadly is about not consistent concept
I prefer the scenarios of the first game but both are good
the graphics is better in 2 but i think i prefer the 1st one. great upload man

But you can! Check Playstation Now if you have a ps4. It's no hassle and takes up no space

Awesome video my fiend!!! Keep it up! Stay connected!!! Left my big support!
Wish there will be a part 3
From what I have heard...Konami intended this to be a trilogy: LoS 1, Mirror of Fate, and ending with LoS2.
this was great, smashed the like button for you
evening my friend, an awesome comparsion video two amazing games and stories enjoyed the watch left alike

Great video 👌 my friend. Big 👍. Thanks for sharing!. I wish you a happy day 😁
🔴 Phenomenal Here always enjoying your content here my I like it 👍🤝
Nice mashub! Liked it
CLOS 1 Whip yelling voice is sounds better 3:47 than Dracula's 3:51
Most like a beyond Light and Dark, but i still play it, both of it, cool game
Can Anyone one tell me if this Gabriel and this Dracula were different person then who would win in a fight?

2 would be such a good game if they didn't put that much unnecessary stealth and parkour.
Its like god of war 2 vs god of war 3
