The band inspired me to be a musician. Back in the Fall of 1988, Mtv was like a great radio station. Great time to be alive. I didn’t see them until the Illusion tour unfortunately, which I always regretted. I wanted to see them play when Izzy and Steven were in the band. But I caught them in Sept. of ‘92 at Foxboro in MA at the GNR/Metallica double bill (which was rescheduled from July after the pyro guy blew up James Hetfield) and then headlining at the Boston Garden in March of ‘93 with Brian May opening. Great shows, there was technically a riot at the one in Foxboro since there were over 75 or 100 arrests (can’t remember which, but I remember it qualified).
I'm not a big fan of GNR but to be honest, after this remarkable comeback in the last years what Axel and the whole band did... I have to admit they are in the top big 5 for sure! Still AC/DC on the of the world! :D Keep rockin' GNR
