to be honest, some of these features were available a long time ago in other apps, like the AE rotoscoping or the rest with plugins, but its impresing that they actually implemented those things into native premiere, saving time between bad optimized plugins or opening multiple video editing software at the same time wich can be very performance consuming. So lets be glad that adobe implemented this instead of hating cuz other programs have got that since a long time

I remember when I was first learning Premiere when I was 16 in 1998. We hosted a class of 8th graders who showed us the videos they were making in QuickTime Pro in their class. After they left we all sat in a circle and talked about the realization that those kids were going to be taking our jobs by the time we would be finishing college. Made it clear that you have to stay on the Frontline to be at the top.

Thank you this is awesome. Do you know how to automatically remove word gaps (silences) with the transcribe tool in Premiere? I do it on Descript instead since I haven't figured out how to do it in Premiere.
BTW, I see that you use a Shure SM 7B mic. Good choice. I have two of them, very smooth response not high output though. A lot of my recordings are made with SM 57's or 58's for musical events. Have a Shure drum set components. I do the sound reinforcement at the local senior center. Been doing it for ~ five years. Drama and singing groups are the main events. You seem very familiar with video productions, how long have you been doing them?

does scene edit detection cut the clips if I am recording only in one place and there is only one scene. I wanted to know because I wanted to remove pauses in video. I tried but did not work for me.
So I am working in the BETA because I wanted to explore Text Based Editing. I tried scene edit detection on a talking head video and it did the full analyses but yielded zero results, nor sub-folders, etc. Do you think it's not working in BETA? That would be weird, right?

Great features and thanks for this amazing video. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed about the new premiere pro just because it's brand new dictating new project, importing and exporting layouts. But after seeing those time saving features, it blew my mind.
Would the ai cutting help with music videos?
Is there a way to do scene edit detection and have it choose the length of the video. For example, If my video was 5 minutes but I needed it to be shortened to 1 minute can it do that.

Great video! I recently got into Adobe Premiere Pro, and none of these AI tools are functional. I suspect Adobe has rolled back or discontinued support for its AI tools, as I've tried all of the suggested fixes for making it work with video clips. Not a deal breaker as I'm used to manually editing anyways, but it's a shame to see that the AI functions in this program no longer function.
A Yo Vince! So if I AUTO TRAC/MASK, in Premiere Pro and then create a new AFTER EFFECTS COMPOSITION. Can i use is with ROTOSCOPE, since the mask is pre made?

"perfect cuts" is an overstatement. It is useful but you still need to put in the work and fix the cuts AI makes for you

Vince, I posted to you my situation but forgot to let you know the audio system that I'm going to use. My Video will be a Canon G1X Mark III camera. My audio would be recorded on a Tascam DR40X digital recorder. Hope that helps you figure out my situation Btw, what part of the country do you live in?

you mean tracking has improved or has become ai-powered? i didn't notice any difference from what it did before ai
So fort scene edit detection it Is setting cuts for me but it isn't cutting anything out. the video is as long as it was before.

That tracking feature is pretty useful. Too bad every Premiere effect is useless. This stuff is scary and exciting at the same time.

So when I try the scene edit detection, after taking the full amount of time to analyze the clip, it comes out the other side with no cuts (there are plenty of pauses between dialogue in the original clip that should've been cut). Does anyone know why that's happening?
I think the scene edit function doesn't cut and edit out the pauses of a long clip, what it does is just cut a already edited video back to its 'pre-rendered' cut version just in case you still need to edit something out of it. From the adobe page - "When you need to create a new edit of a longer video, separating it back into the original shorter clips is the first step". So it doesn't cut out anything new it just cuts out when the scene changes. You can tell in other video tutorials how the total time of the video doesn't get shorted which should happen if it is actually cutting away the pauses.
I just messed with Eleven Labs VO AI. What a game changer. Voice over jobs will be gone in the next 2 years.
