Oh no, the remaining five chapters are about Jace and Vraska's family road trip.
I said the same thing lets hope we at least get more lore about bloomburrow

Back in my day this would have just been the first five chapters out of thirty, in the first novel out of three
This story is definitely not what i expected. I was spoiled by real high-fantasy as a kid.

The kings in the dark will return? I was wondering about this. I know this is probably a teaser for Duskmorne, but what would be returning? The Eldrazi? Maybe some other threat?
could one of those kings be Nicol Bolas? He doses fashion himself a king.
@gydrah4244 Maybe? But I dk recall the title he gave was God Pharaoh. Close, but unlikely.
@@adventarchivist5789 Thats true, the only reason I thought about Bolas was because the sets in 2026 mentioned in one of the MTG conventions last year called them the dragon storm (I could be wrong on the details, feel free to correct me) and I figured he might be involved.
Might be the Fomori. Powerful empire who emprison suns, sounds like people who lives in the dark.
I had no expectations and was still disappointed.
Seriously why did we need Ral or the dragon? This should have been like classic Lorwyn and just been a nice, basic, plane-contained story.
Ral and Possibly Kolaghan are set up for the next arc which I believe could be about planes trying to extend themselves. I can maybe see some of the dragon clans of tarkir trying to expand their territory. And Ral was there so that we know that the quest for Jace is still going on.
I felt the same way about Ral. Cut out the Ral story and expand the part with the lore people in part 3 (I think) so we can learn more about the plane itself. As for the dragon I do think it's fine to keep just as a small way tie it back to the overall story of the planes being connected and setup for what seems to be the story coming up. If you carve out the the Ral part I like the short story that's there. I do hope the next parts aren't going to just going to the main arc and forget about these characters and just have this new plane as a backdrop, not much hope though...

And i may guess that tarkir return is probably related to ur dragon, or why the promotional art there's an ojutai monk fighting against a jund dragon
