You re-awoke a creative soul that has been long standing in the shadows of doubt. A beautiful video that makes picking up a pencil a joy again thank you so much.
Oh this is stunning . Wonderful ideas. I like the idea of centering yourself to hear yourself then create. Beautiful and fun page. Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Tam, for a very helpful, inspirational tutorial. Right up my alley today. When I travel I do tend to bring much more than I need, so this was a wonderful lesson on what one can do with the bare bones of art journalling. Your gal is beautiful as always and Miss Duck gives the perfect added touch. XOXO Jane
Hi Tam, I absolutely loved this video. I love watching your process. And i especially enjoyed seeing how ur work evolved over the years. It gives me motivation and hope for my own growth as an artist! I also wanted to thank you for your love notes. They mean the world to me. You have such a kind and precious heart. Bless you and thanks for sharing!!
I’ve only recently discovered your channel and I love it! Thanks for inspiring me and sharing your art. Also I love that you use classical music in the background rather than that generic music most people use.
Thank you for sharing..........just registered for your fairy tales classes and cannot wait!!! Stunning work!!!! I hope to paint/create like you one day!!! Thank you for your humble approach and making it seem so effortless!!
Thank you for reposting this! I loved it when you did it for the Sketchbook Revival course, but because I am so new I didn't have the courage or skills to follow along. I'm so glad you have shared it here on UA-cam :-)
You are so very talented I love watching you create and learn so much from your techniques. You are truly blessed with the creative spirit, I will continue to watch and hopefully learn too. I find when I give in to my creative side it is so relaxing and therapeutic for me. Thanks so much for the inspiration to continue on this journey I have started. Love and Smiles from Canada
You do amazing work! I love it doesn't take a lot of supplies to do what you do. I've been meaning to start an art journal. I did some girl faces in one book I have and want to expand my ideas as you do. Love that you see things in your drawings, I often see different things also. Thanks for sharing with everyone!!!
I always watch you create your beautiful girls and animals, Tamara! I’ve been fortunate to take LifeBook this year and am thoroughly enjoying it... thank you! Trisch from South Africa xoxo
not necessarily, it's more likely the brand of watercolour paper (some are more and some are less absorbent) and it could also be related to the colour you're using. I recommend buying a few different brands and trying it out on them.
Jane Davenport has a portrait style watercolour journal in two sizes. They come with either a blank canvas wrap or a wrap with her art on the outside. The watercolour paper takes quite a beating. It doesn’t say the weight on the packaging, but it’s at least 140lb. I have a few of them because I’m so fond of the paper and I like being able to decorate the cover🤩. Hope that helps!
Tamara it's been a lot of days~ Great seeing you again and thanks for all of the helpful info. I am trying my first collage/painted board piece. As a beginner, learning layout is both fun and challenging, also seeing various elements come together over a stretch of time as I have added to my stash, bit by bit this past year. I too must have good watercolor paper. Watercolor is my #1. Working in more acrylic paints now for permanency. Be Blessed!
Tam! Moleskine JUST brought out a portrait art Moleskine for watercolour. It’s on Amazon. Has a blue band like the Art Sketchbook but it specifically says Art watercolour.
I’m crazy for your drawings, Tamara! I follow you on Ig since a while ago and today I have discovered you on youtube. I ‘ve been hipnotized! I bought your “create your life book” and I’m in love with it. I can’t draw but it is a treasure for me. Thanks for sharing your art 😘 (sorry for my English)
You are amazing. Your work is so beautiful. I was wishing you would turn each page slower. I loved every page. I have been following you for a long time but, this time I just had to message you. keep up the good work and happy New Year. Fran B.
I struggle with highlights & shadows, knowing where & which colors to use for them...I usually only go darker lighter not another color... I need do more.
It was really interesting to see your older journals. =) I agree, the more you create art, the better your skill gets. =) I also agree that it is very important for your wellbeing. (mental health). I love each page , and enjoyed the flip through of that journal. =) The intuitive duck is adorable. =) The girl is beautiful. and I love this piece. =) I love the butterfly wings, too. =) So cool. =)
I so love your art! Specifically the bright colors and the whimsical details.

I'm assuming that the reason my tombow arent blending like that is because my paper is only 130gsm?

@@willowingarts thank you for this, it was a cheap book and looks almost like bits of eraser when too wet so I'll get myself another to try 😊
