- I stop by Convict Lake on the way home from fishing the Owens River in the Eastern Sierra Nevada. I wasn't planning to fish but the water looks so good I had to get my line wet. To my surprise, I hook up. I hook up BIG! I bring my spinning set up with some trout spoons. Let's go fishing guys! Let's go!

Nice fishing Super Duper, do you use a barbless hook so it’s easier to unhook the fish and let it go back in the water? I wish they would get all those rocks out the way.
I also want to make it more of a challenge. Sometimes it's too easy...With barbless you gotta know what you're doing.

How do you tie your spoons swivel or direct to the fishing line
I use a clasp. No swivel. You can tie directly with a loose bait knot in a pinch but the friction will lead to breaking off. 0 or 1 size clasp. I'll have them available in the store next week.

Thanks man! That was a 3.5 grams on 2# Pline CCX...Flies hella far bro. Look for an announcement next month on the SDO SuperSpoons. We are prototyping. I know. I know. I got a fly setup too. I got arm/shoulder issues and fly fishing is not the best for it. But with PT it's gotten better and I think I need to fly fish in order to get some species of trout or the flow/terrain dictates it. Soon, maybe? Off the kayak on some local east bay planters?

The jetty and cast just pass the drop off and reel slow. or the end of the south shore where it becomes deep fast. Try Mary's too. Heard it was good. Lmk Have fun and good luck
