I've got one of these and so far I like it. it _is_ comfortable - and I've had other multi-tools that aren't. the outside blade is easy, the size is very convenient for a pocket as I just carry it all around to do little things as I see them. eg, in just chatting w my neighbor, I got the washing machine apart to verify the broken tub belt using the phillips, pry, n pliers without having to make a show of "let me get my tools."

Every day I use basically two: Victorinox Pioneer and Leatherman Sidekick, for me, they are sufficient for emergency applications, I would rather not disassemble the damaged track in the tank with them :) Regards and waiting for the next movies :)

A Costco exclusive seems like a low profit idea on Leatherman's part. But I don't think I'm missing out on anything.

I got one of these recently and love it. It's 6oz and has a great profile for carrying and use. When using the plain edge blade the handle feels good in hand for bearing down on cuts. It also comes with a pocket clip. Sheath is a nice bonus but I probably won't use it.
Would've loved to see this same tool setup with a razor blade holder for the main blade instead, and replacing the serrated blade with scissors.

I paid 25.00 for Leatherman wingman at menards years ago before the prices inflated. Picked up 4 of them. They were eliminating Leatherman tools down to only one Leatherman style so it was on massive price reduction. It looked obvious because they offered the entire Gerber lineup since Bear Grylls was showcasing his up and coming lineup of Gerber survival tools. I suppose they saw dollar signs when they seen a popular survival tv celebrity.

I think they would have been better off sticking with Leatherman, the Bear Grylls tools are pretty cheap and I doubt they are selling very well. Actually I think if I'm not mistaken my Menards is still selling Leatherman.

Bolster holster, what a tongue twister! I thought of asking you to review this tool after Maxlvledc posted his video about this tool, but I didn’t want to push you, that is, in any sense. So purely in terms of the tools included, Rev is Wingman minus a scissors, and Bolster is Sidekick minus a saw. I am a Leatherman fan/user, even though I think if I was going to spend $40-45 on a multitool, I would go with the Multiforce. I know Ozark Trail doesn’t provide the 25 year warranty but, for the money I think it would be a better choice. USA

Do you have any Leatherman tools in black oxide? I just picked up a Surge off of your recommendation but went for the black oxide option as a bit of a last minute decision for the look. Doing some quick research it seems steel quality should be the same. Some people mentioned it may be a bit "stickier" due to the black oxide coating. Hello, Ben - good video - While I understand that preferences for these tools are subjective; I have to respectfully disagree with you concerning the Rev. I bought mine at Home Depot for $21 and change; a good price at the time...they are still being sold there for $41 and change now...I think the pliers and cutters and fit and finish are better than the Wingman and the Sidekick...the blade was very sharp from the get- go and I don't mind opening the blade with two hands...the package cutter is really excellent...I wish Leatherman would have added scissors to it...I don't care for spring assisted pliers, it's just another thing to break and l have better control without them...they have their uses for light to medium tasks; I have other Leathermans, but I will carry it with a folder if I'm travelling light or in my bag if I think I'll need the package cutter...I think many folks think it's the "runt" of the litter, but I find it a nice light sturdy tool for my needs on any given day...

I love the Rev. The Rev is well built, simple and effective. I love the external straight knife blade, the can opener is great. I use that all the time for opening canned vegetables or fruit. The package opener works great for stubborn plastic clam shell packaging and even liked it so much I bought a Rev for my cousin this Christmas. I love the simplicity of the Rev and retired Kick.
