It needs to be level as best it can for the oil to drain down to the lowest point (the drain plug) before you get to undo it, while the oil is still warm. The video is all about the oil change !
I see what you mean, the plate was put on in reverse luckily it still seals the same against the metal seal behind, with no adverse issue. Well spotted and my mistake, I will have to make good all the same, and thanks for pointing this out.

Only need to clean the sludge from it as shown in the video. Also clean that wire screen, this is in effect your filter. Regular, and correct oil changes will do the rest. Enjoy Gromming !!!

The spinner cover was reinstalled the wrong way round, this will have a impact on how it seals on the gasket

the bike doesn’t need to be level when removing screws. only when draining oil and/or checking levels.

Please elaborate I took off the three holed plate, and removed the gunk as shown, never removed the actual spinner which was on from new ?

Other than when you started undoing things with a torque wrench and put the spinner cover on backwards it was more or less alright.
