Wow, did it. Amazing. Rotated the lid evey 15 minutes (45 minutes in all, sauced them for another 10. What?? Great tug, juicy, (not 'fall off the bone, which I don't like) Winner, winner, pork rib dinner, bro. Thanks for great content overall on your channel.👍
The one negative about the vortex process is that it leaves goopy bbq sauce in the kettle. But ....I found a solution other than placing foil which can be a pain. I got a 21 1/2" stainless steel comal off Amazon; hogged out a 10" hole in the middle and place it under the stock Weber grill grate. It lets the heat of the Votex do it's magic, but at the same time, it catches all the sauce and drippings. Next day, just remove it and hose out the gunk and you're ready for another cook. Life is easy now, bro. Pass me one of them brewskis, will ya? 🍺
Brian that was awesome. I have got to the point that I use my Vortex more than I do my S&S. But, I have never had this idea, Well I do now. I will be doing this for sure. Cool video.
Hey thank you Britt!! I surely do appreciate that! And both are essential accessories for a kettle for sure! But lemme know how they turn out for ya when you do them!
So happy I came across this video. They look amazing. I gonna do some ribs in the next hour or so. Will try this technique for the first time. Thanks for sharing. I'm so excited. Cheers from Montreal.
Nice one man, enjoyed the video :) Have ribs on atm and the skin didnt come off that easily for me. Still love cooking them on the weber though. Gotta love that woodwork.
@@MadHorseBBQ had pretty much the same as yours but not cut, a decent amount of rub then wrapped with garlic butter and honey for a change with a little hot sauce came out nice:)
Hey Bri! Nice find on the red kettle. Like the new custom handles. 👍 Really like this set up for a hot n fast. The loin rib is perfect for this, not having much marbling to it. Love em underdone like that. Awesome color with 100% flavor coverage! Killer Bro! 👍🍺 \🔥/
@@MadHorseBBQ Turned out surprisingly good. Can definitely tell a tenderness difference from a slow smoke but who the heck has 6 hours to smoke a rack or two of ribs!
great video man. I remember you said the brand and model # of that stainless work bench in a previous video. Can you let me know again what brand it is ??

Look pretty damn good 👍. I gotta get a vortex and try the hot and fast ribs.
Thanks Jason! And yes you do! I linked the vortex in the description!
Wow. Had that good part all the way around.
Heck ya they turned out pretty good!
Love the kettle bro.
Thank you sir!
That time lapse temperature climb is insane. Bwuuuup, ding!
Haha yes sir! And it’s not a time lapse actually! 100% real time on how fast the vortex gets that kettle hot!
@@MadHorseBBQ I can back that statement, that vortex can move a needle in lightening speed!!!
Yeah nice will have to give it a crack. Cheers
Thanks Bull! And you for sure should!

All the video lacked was some good ole Heavy Metal music. Agree was a good video...
I have a weber circa 2997 still going strong
Sorry I mean 1997
Giving this a shot today. Will mix some hot dogs in there for the kids.
Fantastic!!

Happy to hear that!! And agreed on the tenderness.
great video man.
I remember you said the brand and model # of that stainless work bench in a previous video. Can you let me know again what brand it is ??
Hey thanks Shane! And here ya go!
zgrills.com/products/stainless-steel-work-table
That’s a cool prep table where do you get it?
Can't help but think they need some buffalo sauce and homemade blue cheese dressing
Not a bad idea actually except trade blue cheese for ranch.
Is that a stock webber grate? Or did you get a stainless steel one.
He sounds like Tom Horsman
Weber had a lid bail in 1995? Or, is it an add on??
This dude sounds just like Seth Rogan!
where did you get the Thermometer on the lid from? that is so cool
That’s the OG thermometer from the older kettles!
Knowing when not to talk is a skill also..
Haha ok
